Cities with great settings/ locations

i'm sure this has been done arleady , but i couldnt find other thread. if mods consider this thread more aproppiate in the Travel and Geography section, just move it.
Which cities do you think have the best settings? I mean rivers, coast lines, mountain backgrounds, etc...

This one comes to mind:

Chongqing, China. I like how the two rivers merge, creating a tip similar to Manhattan, plus the mountains on the back:

and the model post in the scale model thread in this section. pic by z0rg

other cities that are a must: Shanghai, Hong Kong (wow, China has some beautiful cities!), NY, Chicago, Istanbul...Post pics!

Santiago is just stunning!
Queenstown, New Zealand is also beautiful.
Also like Hong Kong, Abu Dhabi (cause of it's several islands), Sydney (the harbour), Vancouver, Cape Town, Naples...

But Rio wins by far IMO!

Shanghai has a nice river, otherwise I don't see the location as particularly spectacular.

Most specacular settings in order:

1) Rio --> city in a mountain range and coastal beaches
2) Hong Kong -- mountains and sea
3) Sydney -- harbor/beaches
4) Cape Town
5) Vancouver
6) Santiago
7) San Francisco
8) Naples
9) Nice/Monaco
10) Chongquing
11) Geneva
12) Caracas

Honorable mentions

Calgary
Perth
NYC
Dublin
Barcelona
Lisbon
Qingdao
Seattle
Denver
Edinburgh
Salvador
Torino
Stockholm
Kabul
La Paz
Miami

Best rivers in major cities

NYC
London
Shanghai
Paris

Cities with quieter settings

Moscow
Paris
London
Lyon
Washington
Nanchang
Podunk

Of course I wouldn't dare put it FIRST on the list by any means, but Brisbane, Australia is definitely remarkable. The snaking river in the stunning bright climate framed by the misty Glasshouse Mountains backdrop.

Rio, Hong Kong and Neapol certainly come to mind, but how about Catania with a smoky Etna?
