In my country, Argentina, the biggest raiforest is Chaco (divided between Argentina, Paraguay and Bolivia), also called "El Impenetrable" (the unpenetrable)... It's humid or semiarid accordin to the place (humid near the big rivers, and semiarid in the west)

A river full of plants!

our closest examples:
Gerês (northern-most place of Portugal) - greenish and rainiest place in Portugal
Azores (subject to tropical storms) - maybe that's why it looks different from the mainland, and so beautiful.
Madeira (laurissilva forest)
my city lies in the border, it's not Mediterranean forest, but somewhat-Atlantic, but we have that ugly Mediterranean "grass" that gets dry in the summer

Vietnam

In 80 million people Vietnam, jungle is the place where population density is the same as the deserts.
