PARIS | Coeur d'Issy | 149m | Canceled

149 m tower
62 000 m²
2012 +

Proposed but uncertain status because of the location , in the heart of Issy (a near suburb of South Paris) that will occur many oppositions.

It goes with a major project of rebuilding the area :
Theatres , commercial center , parks ...

High Definitions Renders :

Very interesting design...the facade looks like a big membrane that is spanned around the building.
Also, its nice to see that highrises are getting built outside of La defense again in the Paris Metro Area.
Btw, what will be the main use of this building, offices i guess...?

It's not the only skyscraper project in Greater Paris outside of La Défense. There are also the Levallois twin towers which are already under construction. Last month I posted information about the Levallois twin towers here: http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showth...0#post23774840

Wow, Paris seems to have about a million skyscraper proposals. If they all get built, Paris will have a truly amazing skyline!

Anyway, I am really enjoying this whole skyscraper urban park kick that architects have been going on lately. I think it will make the towers they design much more livable than they might otherwise be. (see Shanghai Tower)

Sieradzanin1, as usual in France, towers (although aesthetic) usually end up in the bin owing to those damned residents...that pretty tower is no exception, indeed, it was officially cancelled last summer.

Quote:

It's a pity, because I've been reading this site for two complete days now and this was one of the better projects. And it was good because it fit Paris; the size, the integration with street life (from what I could see in the renderings). I mean even Paris (and some say especially Paris) needs more density.

Remember Haussman? It was easier to plan cities back then.
