Ola!

During my holiday in Spain i went for a few days to Barcelona. Here I show you my pictures of this fantastic city. Look at the beautifull, old city center, the (sometimes ugly) suburbs, the nearby mountains and some highrise. (sorry i can't speak Spanish)

The metro (subway) of Barcelona contains of 6 lines. Also the normal trains are underground, in the suburbs they go on the surface.

Well, not only beautiful things may be posted. Also things that for any reason draw our attention. Ugly things, districts and buildings are in every city, no problem to post them. If we show only beautiful and nice things, we will have a beautiful thread, but far from reality.
Most of pictures here show how beautiful can Barcelona be. And also different personalities that the city may have.

well i think because THOSE places are also barcelona...i find ALL pics very interstings....pic number 6 recalls me somehow to a brasilian favela....i love barcelona...and those pics reflects the impression of a foreigner in our country....

For my opinion is Barcelona a fantastic city and i will visit it again. The ambiance is very good and the city has a lot of beautifull buildings. Also i saw some neighbourhoods that were a bit uglie, i don´t know 1 city that have NOT a uglie part. I like to show the diversity of a city the many beautifull things and also the uglie ones. It´s not my plan to give a negative image of Mollet del Valles, but this part was the only one we saw, we were searching for the circuit de catalunya but drove a wrong way. Also in my city, Sittard/Holland we have nice and uglie parts, here 2 pics of my hometown, 1 nice and 1 uglie to compensate

The Market, just 2 kilometers away from Stadbroek.

And as you can see in Holland the weather is not so good as in Spain, also for that i like South Europe.

The area where FC Barcelona stadium is located is not a suburb, the neighbourhood (Les Corts) is part of the city and on a side note I must say that it's one of its best areas (yes, I live there :P) BTW my job is next to that "green building" which is the "edificio planeta" (a publishing company) and it's one of my favourites in the city hehe

About that pic of Les Corts (next to Camp Nou)... next time you come you might want to check the old part of Les Corts out, it's pretty neat!

Thanks sky-eye for posting both ugly and beautiful images from Barcelona (and beyond ). I think that to know and understand the soul of a city all things must be touched, the good and the bad ones.
