I thinks its only in Morocco and South Africa on the continent at the moment.

I heard about a few opening in Algeria but that is not until later this year or next year.

Egypt has a couple they open at 10am, and for some odd reason they hand out plates not sure why probably a contest or something but they handed me an actual ceramic plate to take home (Kenny Rogers roast is also in Egypt, way better than Mcdonalds). South Africa has a couple but I prefer Nando's over Mcdonalds any day.

I hope they don't show up in Kenya, i prefer Wimpy and Nandos any day. Kenyans love local chains too much, i doubt it will last if it were ever to open in Kenya.

A few in South Africa... they're pretty much all over now. About 20 or so in Cape Town, 30 in Johannesburg, maybe 15 or so in Durban and most major towns have at least one. The one city I know lacks "big American yellow arches" is Kimberley.

Really????!! Holy sh!t I always thought that McDonalds was one of the most globalized brands and that it would be in at least 75% of all African countries. Does that mean Africa doesn't have any Burger Kings, Wendy's, Starbucks, Subway or Quizznos? Personally I dislike all of those chains (especially Starbucks) but the Burgers in Burger King are delicious and Wendy's is tolerable once every a couple of months.

Brazil has over 700 McDonalds, 53 Burger Kings, 171 subways, 10 Starbucks, and 4 KFC's (all KFC's are found in Rio alone). Thankfully Quiznos and Wendy's have plans to come to Brazil by 09/10

As someone who loves Mexican food and has lived in Mexico, I'll tell you straight up, Taco Bell is absolute sh!t. I find that you like Taco Bell offensive! A damn burrito at a 7-11 is better than Taco Bell.
