EUGENE - Autzen Stadium (54,000)

I just like the design of this stadium, and thought I'd like to share pics even though I'm sure there's been one done before.

I've been a PAC-10 guy forever, but wish out stadiums across the board were on par with the SEC, BIG 10, and BIG 12 in size and demand. That being said, this stadium is one of the best designed and most unique in the US.

Seats 59, 000. Enjoy!

I love this stadium, among the best "mid-sized" venues in CFB, both visually appealing and unique.

And don't fret about the PAC 10 stadiums' size in comparison to the SEC. It's more a testament to the SEC that they're able to fill such large venues, a result of their history and regional proximity to one another. Even the Big Ten becomes average when you remove the big 3.

Nice to see a thread on this one! It's definitely my favorite college stadium.

I honestly think Autzen feels incomplete. But that's just me.

yeah, i agree. any plans to expand the other side of the stadium? the ducks can't have national recognition in a stadium that seats ONLY 54,000.

I made the trip to Autzen in 2006. I won't talk about the game. However, this is the loudest stadium I've ever stepped foot in. And i've been to quite a few college football venues. Autzen wins hands down in terms of sound. I remember having to cover my ears with my hands it was so loud.

If all goes well, I should see this beauty sometime this year. Is the stadium really loud? I've heard that its one of the nation's loudest.

I'm just bored and thought I'd upload some pics from this season.

Here's a couple from the other day.

Go Ducks. Time to score over 60 points against another black and orange OSU!!

One itsy-bitsy problem: this OSU looks primed to return the favor.

I've been to Texas' Darrel K Royal Stadium, Oklahoma's Memorial Stadium, Alabama's Bryant-Denny Stadium and a lot of others, but Autzen is without a doubt the loudest I;ve ever been to. It's not even close.

Agreed. I am an Oklahoma fan and have been to many stadiums - some 2X larger than Autzen. It was the LOUDEST stadium i've been to. I had to cover my ears when I visited in 2006. Thanks to the refs, UO won.

Those are nice pix. A lot of them must have been taken in that three week period in Oregon when the clouds have parted.
