You quoted one of my posts regarding Seattle with Kansas City...Why?

Safeco Field could host AAA Tacoma Rainiers playoff games next month if the Rainiers are kicked out of Tacoma's Cheney Stadium, which will undergo a renovation following the season. Seattle fans probably won't notice a difference as the Mariners have been a glorified AAA team for awhile.

What a strange thing to be glad about.
![]() It was nice to read that Safeco Field was the late, great Hall of Famer Ernie Harwell's favorite ballpark besides the venerable Tiger Stadium. That is very neat, especially from a man who called ballgames for decades and undoubtedly seen them all. |

Appropriate actions have been made
You stated, you were glad the standard, meaning Safeco, had so many flaws. The context you chose was specifically to engage in a "flame war" with myself. You cannot change who you are, or your motives unfortunately. This is a forum about stadiums and arenas. Now I don't have the authority to ban you from this site, which is unfortunate, because you have not chosen to discuss matters in a civil and respectful manner. Life is too short to be exposed to your single-minded, hateful drivel. This forum is a vBulletin venue so there is some good news, I will place you on my "ignore list". Disagreements are fine, but there is a right way to disagree with someone without resorting to non sequitur, name-calling attacks.

I don't mind the roof track structure, nor do I mind the retractable roof, period. I'm glad it's there. I do however, wish on occasion that a different design had been built along the 1st Ave side (the obligatory brick). Something that would've blended in with rest of the ballpark better. But, honestly there's not a current ballpark's facade that I'm impressed with. Of the red brick motif crowd, Coors Field probably has the best overall facade. IMO.

I put a little laughing emoticon, then said I was glad that the standard had so many flaws. (you know, so others might be able to reach that standard) Sorry I called you crazy. Maybe "aloof" or "nutty" is more applicable. I think the evidence supports my side either way. |
