Absotively, posilutely!
Love all the colors and lighting.
And that last one is sweet.
You can tell that the "new" Mercy Tower does put a little dent in the skyline.
Awesome Pix, Del!!! As Always.

Excuse me, guys!
Hi (:

I'm from Brazil and I'm going to Baltimore with three girl friends for almost three months.
We know nothing about this city and we're feeling totally lost.
Would you guys like to tell me what there's to do in Baltimore? Even better, would someone like to show us personally the nice places around?

I've seen the pics in this thread. I loved them and I'm even more excited about going. Is it too cold there? :X
It's damn hot down here in Brazil. Unfortunatelly I will have to leave the summer behind and go straight into the winter there.
But it worths.

You have a beautiful place there.

Sorry my mistakes.
;D

bem, olá! como vai você?

baltimore is indeed a very nice city. like other big cities, it has its "issues". it is currently very cold here right now (it's lingering around 40-50 degrees). some of the nice places around would include:

hampden
fells point
federal hill
harbor east
inner harbor
the area around johns hopkins university
....and many more!

i will let you know about some more spots tomorrow.

What are the dates that you'll be in Baltimore? I am relatively new to Baltimore, but I can tell you there is never a shortage of things to do. It seems like there is always some festival, or something going on. The Inner Harbor is nice to walk around and do some shopping, and the National Aquarium is there, and it is actually really interesting. There are tons of bars and restaurants in neighborhoods like Federal Hill, Inner Harbor, Harbor East, Fells Point and Canton. There are several musuems and art galleries too, and a couple of places in the city for films/movies. What part of the city will you be located in, and will you have access to a car? There are places outside the city that are nice for day trips, like Ellicott City and Westminster, and other places that you can take the train to, like Washington DC. If you send me a private message, and let me know when you will be around, I could try to meet up with you some time and show you around my part of the city where I live, Federal Hill. And welcome to Baltimore!

Everytime I see the crane at the Museum Of Industry, I think of my Dad. That crane was originally located at the Beth Steel Key Highway shipyard, where Harborview is today. My Dad was an electrician there, just before WWII, and one of his jobs was to change the red bulb at the tip of the cranes. There were several, and this is the only surviving one. It was a harrowing job, especially if it was a day like today, as it had to be changed regardless of weather.

Great shots! But why did that photographer decide to take photos of only the decaying buildings in Howard Park? I know that area is more than abandoned apartment buildings for sure!

Here's some Roland Park

Beautiful Nabe! Is Roland Park located in the northern Bmore, correct ?

About Howard Park, I would assume most of it is blighted and a poorer nabe, but is it ?
