H&dM really stepped up their game in New York City, unlike a lot of starchitects. They delivered, conveyed their unique architectural outlook, and lived up to their hype, unlike their Tate extension or the Elbphilharmonie (in my opinion). And even more impressively they accomplished this on a residential skyscraper, a venture dominated by pecuniary matters. And unlike Gehry's tedious and forgotten tower, this one seems to have a right to stand alone and reject its context.

The arrangement and orientation of the upper floor plates isn't as wild as in the renders but it's still an A Class building.

I liked the construction better than the final result.

Spectacular nice building. The only thing i don't like is the way the windows are edged with those white lines.

Too bad the whole tower couldn't be like the top. That would've really been something.

I knows its subjective, but I think it looks better how it gets more irregular towards the top rather than it being the same the whole height.

I've just never seen a tower that height with actual balconies, normally balconies look ugly but they fit in well with the style.
