It seems to be the only mid-century modern building in that intersection area, so I disagree.

17 floors at 52 meters?
Hmmm... the floor count can easily fit into that height, but judging by the height of the crane and its surroundings, I'd say this is more 70-75m tall

Because with a height of 250m/57 floors and you have 4.39m height average per floor.
Times that by 17 and you have 74.6m

BUT I appreciate your diagrams to an extreme amount which I'm sure you know Here's a 'LIKE' seeing as the button has been removed for the time being!

I agree. The bottom floors are probably even higher.

I am very glad you are helping me make my diagrams more accurate. Feedback is always appreciated

Btw, I calculated the first floor to be 4 meters and the other 16 to be 3 meters. They just don't look like 4,4 meters to me. I might be wrong but can't the building have less floors than what it is saying? Like 157 or 1WTC. 157 once claimed it has 90 floors and 1WTC has less than the 104 floors it claims too

Well looking at the base of the tower, more than just the ground floor are taller than the tower sections floors

That might be. So I've decided to add another meter to the first 7 floors and another half meter to the 10 top floors. That would give me 64 meters or 210 feet

I'm having the same problem!

And I think this building has made a lot of progress since I last came here! No wonder I can't recognize it anymore!

Love the wide range of styles in that photo. That's something that makes NYC so great. Now this deconstructivist (or maybe even neo-metabolist) design will add even more to the variety!

Yeah it really fits well in this somehow chaotic area. Classic glass box would be a mistake down there.

But I see it is in it's almost boxy stage now. It should rise relatively fast till it reach few more complicated floors at the top.

That was literally the first time I'd heard of Metabolist architecture, but after looking it up, I have to say that description is spot on.

Me too, I never knew that such a style existed before ThatOneGuy mentioned it. It is truly a hideous style according to most of the pics I googled

Some are nice, like the Shizuoka Broadcasting Center. You don't actually see very many outside Japan.
