All you armchair critics really need to see this beauty IN PERSON here in NYC, instead of merely nit-picking on posted web images ... maybe you'd have a change of opinion. I doubt it, but at least it would give your criticisms more legitimacy.

I happen to view it nearly everyday ... and even in its earliest stages of development, it's been quite clear that this tower is, and will become, a stunning addition to the Greatest Skyline in the Greatest City.

Do you know why they chose to give it zero windows?

It's like a 1970s interpretation of a medieval fortress, windowless and imposing - built to withstand anything. It's a NY icon, in my opinion.

Same as new WTC1, but in It's case because of protective functions.

The only fortress aspect of 1 WTC is the base, whereas this building is the whole thing.
