I know they are going to wait until the outside is complete before installing the Anish Kapoor blob sculpture at the base, but does anyone know when that will actually be done?

I always thought that the sculpture was an eyesore, and hugely impractical. People shouldn't be forced to almost walk in the street to get around that thing.

I'm sure it won't affect sidewalk traffic, they're not allowed to do that and the old rendering may not be a 100% accurate. Can you name a 'practical' sculpture?
I'm sure it'll be very cool, it looks great in the rendering already.

I pretty much just have ONE issue with the building. Something that is grating on my brain. Not enough balconies guys, just not enough balconies. This is NYC, need moar balconies at all times. What do they think this is, ******* Miami or something :P

Oh, make that two: the tower looks very sad and lonley just sitting there, alone.. To me it looks like a diamond in the dirt from the aerial shots. No offense to the beautiful but very turd brown buildings down below, but from above, the new tower looks very out of place and needs some sisters and brothers.

My new label for the tower: the black, or rather, the silver sheep of Tribeca. It surely is a building that doesn't shy away from the limelight ;P

Just going by the rendering.

And yes, there are many "practical" sculptures: those that don't create pedestrian bottlenecks and force people off the curb.
