Yes. Its true man. I am really happy with the way things are going in Delhi. The CWG and this F1 circuit will just give Delhi another reason to develop and prosper. The infrastructure's considerably improving with Metro setting newer milestones and the Delhi Airport getting a makeover. Fantastic!

If they dont get the track ready by next yr,Delhi will have to wait till 2013. I dont think F1 would want add 2 new races the same yr.

Yet another masterpiece by the legendary track designer Hermann Tilke is getting ready for its solo race next year 32 Km outside the national capital.
The Formula 1 track in Greater Noida is designed to be 5.1 Km long and contains 16 corners. The cars are expected to lap at an average speed of 210 kmph around. The track is one of the fastest in the world, with the cars reaching 320 kmph in the main straight before braking into turn 4. The designers have taken inputs from the teams’ simulator test runs for refining their track layout and have put the data into good use by modifying turn turn 7 and turn 3 to increase overtaking opportunities. The state of the art curved roof grand stand, located near turn 10 and 11, has a capacity of 30,000 people bringing the total capacity of the track to a staggering 1,20,000. With Karun coming into F1 and an Indian team – Force India F1 showing some great racing on the track, organizers feel that filling up the seats wont’ be a major task for them. Track boss Mark Hughes said “Karun’s presence on the F1 grid has certainly whipped up a lot of interest in India. The feedback from the teams has also been very encouraging and we hope the race will speak for itself.” http://www.indiancarsbikes.in/motors...-details-9067/ |

Indian Grand Prix 2011 : Cheap tickets and heightened security on the agenda
By Indian Grand Prix Admin on Jun 7, 2010 in F1, India, Indian Grand Prix, formula one ![]() The Indian Grand Prix is about an year away and the organisers are leaving no stone unturned to ensure a successful culmination of the event. The event is scheduled to be held at a venue in the NCR region in one of the several townships being developed by the Jaypee Group. The subsidiary JPSK sports will be handling the construction and other issues related to the Indian Grand Prix. Mark Hughes who is heading the operation for the JPSK group was quoted as saying : "We are looking at the range of tickets for the high end of cricket games, the international test matches, the IPL games," "We are looking at the ticketing for the Commonwealth Games and we are also looking at the other races and trying to find a balance. "There will be a reasonably affordable general admission and there will probably be about 25,000 general tickets. I’d like to think that we can make it affordable in the same way that Malaysia did – Malaysia have a very good, affordable entry ticket price." "We will have things like built-in underground scanners, so when a car drives in every vehicle will get scanned," "At the same time, we will look at how we integrate that with the CCTV systems. "We will have a reasonably sophisticated ticketing system that will be very difficult to forge. There will be a turnstile system at every entrance, every ticket will be electronic. Security will be ramped up, it has to be." he added I will be hoping to get some paddock passes for the event , lets see if I can put my resourcefulness to the best use. http://indiangrandprix.net/main/2010...on-the-agenda/ |

STAR SPORTS thought that indian people will have d first look at the construction in their channel, but they didn't know that there is such a great community with such people contributing to it...because of which we have seen the pictures of the construction much before..... |

you learn from better and more experienced engineers and implement it yourself later. its fact of life. even in Delhi metro foreign engineers worked initially, same with delhi airport (which also had foreign workers even) etc... same is the case with foreign doctors, business professionals, scientists, sports coaches, artists etc... world is a global village my friend
