we already did! These are ROTEM trains wich belong to TCDD. They started to operate between Mersin and Adana. And they will start on the other routes soon, (like Ankara-Kırıkkale and more)...

TÜVASAS will start to manifacture these trains.

many companies like ROTEM, CAF, Italians wich works with TCDD came for the show. But also siemens, alstrom ect were here too. I think we are a good potential customer for them. Not only for national railways, also for city transportation. I repeat, we were a railway national since Ottomans till 1950's. Now we restarted it again in last 10 years. We are doing wonderful things, including production cars and rails and also with technology transfer, high tech trains. But still, we are not enough good yet. We have so much to do and there is a long way in front of us. When enovation and mdernization works finish, we must build more railways, new routes ect. We must produce better locomatives ( I think we produce wonderful cars)

TCDD is having a new sutructure with a new law and it becomes an autarchic company. so it will be in the model of the EU.

There are two EU models to have.

Sperate model: Railway infrasutrcture belongs to a compnay, trains belong to other company

Quote:

And united under a roof model: two different companys united under a roof.

Bu çerçevede;
-Mevcut TCDD İşletmesi Genel Müdürlüğünün yeniden yapılandırılarak, altyapı işletmeciliğinden sorumlu TCDD Genel Müdürlüğüne dönüştürülmesi,

-Tren işletmeciliği faaliyetlerini yürütmek üzere bağlı ortaklık şeklinde tren işletmesi kurulması, uygun görülmüştür
so Turkey Railway Transporation Joint stock company (DETAŞ) will be established

mission of TCDD
Quote:
•Yeni demiryolları yapmak.
•Demiryollarının bakım ve onarımını yapmak.
•Demiryolu trafiğini sevk ve idare etmek.
•Demiryollarını tren işletmecilerine tahsis etmek ve ücretlendirmek
Building Railways
Railways Maintenance and Renovation
Control and Organization of Railways Traffic
Decidion of the prices and giving the railways to train company

mission of DETAŞ
Quote:
Operating freight and passanger transporation and combined trasportation.
Transportation logistic services.
Providing the vehiciles and their repair and maintenance.

But Companies TCDD and DETAŞ will be under the roof of Ministry of Transportation but both of them will be autarchic, with their investments and budgates ect.

Similar to Italian railways where Ferrovia di Stado is concerned with construction and maintainance of tracks while Trenitalia operates the trains.

yes TCDD has chosen this way. As the report points Germany, Italy and Austria have well developed Railways by this.

We can see more investment from now on!
