Great thread! I have a friend going to Seattle later this week

Thanks for sharing! I absolutely love Seattle and have enjoyed visiting there several times. It is by far my favourite American city because of the people, cleanliness, scenery, and quirkiness of the place. Your pictures of Capital Hill and the people are excellent

Is that all you have to say?
How about thank you for spending the time taking all of those pictures?

Food for thought.

Nice pics, if I was going to live in North America, Seattle would be one of my top choices I think. For some reason that whole Pacific NW region from Northern California up to Vancouver appeals to me.

Beautiful pics, pwright. I love you threads.

Question: Do people from Seattle preferred to be called Seattlites or dirty hippies, or are they used equally and interchangeably?

I really cannot see how anyone thinks these pictures are ugly. I spent so much time after a decade in Europe trying to find a suitable place to live. Seattle looks like it would have fit my personality. The place I lived in while in Europe is as cloudy and rainy as Seattle, but the air was very polluted and there was not enough inner city green space.
