Hmm filler material, hopefully once (if) built will be shrouded in other more exciting towers.

How close is this to The Landmark, The Pride and Riverside South?

It is, however surrounded by potential development sites, most of which are currently occupied by 1980's moderate density stuff.

This tower is very odd looking, like Zedferret I thought of Guy's too. I cannot say that I am crazy about it - though it is distinct.

Magic

This was the previous proposal for 155m AOD & 50Fl. No idea why they looped 18m of- Seems pointless but then again must height cuts in London are pointless. Probably to placate the detractors.

To be honnest I think they should loop the remaining 43 floors. It shows how the area is becoming a magnet but at the same time, the design is disastrous.

The top has no sense. Could have been in Doha or worse, Benidorm. I dont mind the cladding, the random panels + random pastel work well. But this is a tower, viewed from far away including from Greenwich, hence the need for an elegant silhouette, not some Petrograd meets Benidorm kind of top.

Oh...wait, it reminds me of the now defunct Hermitage Tower planned in La Defense, same gimmick at the top.

According to the planning statement the architects are Jacobs Webber. Apparently they used to work for SOM and were involved in the Pan Peninsula design.

I like it because its unconventional in some ways, We need a bit of variation on the IOD and I think this will add to it nicely.

Looks like it will become wore down after a couple years. And hopefully they dont use them colours, just awful looking, please stay with just blue.
