First of them... the current last stop of the line in the city centre. It is where a lot of people get off to take another bus or just walking to final destination.

Second one, a detail of the stop and tramway

Emperador Carlos V square: transport interchange next to Labordeta park, hospital Miguel Servet, Romareda stadium, auditorium...

Buses urban(two lines, 35 y 53) and interurban stop here.

Is the place perfect for change of transport... tramway-bus for example. Terminal line bus interurban. Bizi station.

Goya station is other place that by way of exchanger transport is used in the linea. Have a problem: can not travel with the tickets of train commuter on the tram. Few travelers use the two transports. Trains and tramways not have the same prices.

17% increasing traffic yesterday while morning and afternoon in Zaragoza tramway thanks to enlarging to city centre.

It is estimated that part of it comes because people who wanted to know the new strech.
The entreprise reckons to have a 15% increase with them

Congratulations Zaragoza for these new small but important extension! Step by step Zaragoza will have one of the best public transportation systems in Spain. I hope once the first line is finished they continue with the second and third lines.

The development of the tram network in Aragon's capital city is currently one of the few rail related urban transportation projects underway in the country. Unfortunately the others are almost stopped, only Málaga and Granada continue with the construction of their metro-trams, although at a incredibly slow rythm, as well as Bilbao with its 3rd metro line and Madrid with a couple of stations under construction. Barcelona, Sevilla, Valencia and Alicante (and of course Palma) simply don't have enough funds to continue with the expansion of their networks, even some almost completed projects are paralyzed there...

Thank you very much. Today is bank holiday and I was walking near the tramway line and when I saw one of them was "strange" seeing "Plaza de España" as destination in the top of a tramway instead of "Gran Vía".

I reckon that test for strech Plaza de España-Murallas would start in a fortnight.

Plaza Aragon stop.

Picture taken by myself.

As you can see, it is a no-catenary strech. Today almost 800m only but will be enlarged in december, being more than 2 km with no catenary, the longest strecth in the world for a tramway.

While stopping and passengers get on and off, batteries are quickly charged with a connection made in the ground.

This week test until Plaza del Pilar stop (two more stops with no catenary) will start

Adpg... next time, could you take some photos of the walls?

I think they are quite nice. They are... just walls on a railway plattform but they painted several city monuments along all the wall, giving a different view to this little station

This week Zaragoza tramway arrived the last stop of the line.

First phase was Mago de Oz-Gran Via.
Several days ago Gran Via - Plaza de España was opened to service. So then the current service is Mago de Oz-Plaza de España
In december, Plaza de España - Murallas will be opened.

In spring, the full line until Avenida Academia will be opened.

Nowadays in the southern side of the city there is a small tramway depot but the main one will be in the northern side of the city.

This week a tramway quited off the depot and made a test over the three nearest stations arriving until the last one.

This is a picture taken from official web where crossing under the N-330 (former road E-7)

Two more pics taken by myself

Plaza Aragón

Today is just one stop more only. In the future, if I had to make a guess I would say it will be the stop most used for transfer as far as there are too many bus lines in the surroundins.
Today it has not a lot of traffic because the last stop is just 700m ahead

Plaza de España is the last stop right now and in the city centre. It is estimated that will be the stop with the largest number of passengers.

And... as you can see... tramway absolutely wireless in those stops!!!!

Since today a 5:00 all tramways do not finish the journey at Plaza de España stop but they will continue for two more stops.

Regular service keeps being along the journey Mago de Oz - Plaza de España, where Gran Via-Plaza de España is without catenary.
But since today all tramways will let off all passengers at Plaza de España and will continue for two more stops until Murallas (Walls in English, because an important part of Roman Walls remain there).
Plaza de España - Murallas is also a no catenary strech, all tramways will run it on test and it is estimated to be opened before Christmas.

Thank you for pictures.

Please... take all of you a view to this google maps link https://maps.google.es/?ll=41.656986...190.21,,0,1.37
It is exactly the same point some years ago. Building on the left is the Central Market, a building with a lot of heritage. The Cesar Augusto Avenue there is the narrowest poing all over the tramway strech.

Today the tramways are arriving just a little more in the back side where the first photo is taken. They arrive with no passengers just for test. In less than one month we will have regular service there.

And as you can see... no catenary!!!!!!!!!!

Current service ends ahead, after that curve (Plaza de España stop).
All tramways are driving for more stops more under test. Today I used that station twice and got noticed that all passengers got off at Plaza de España stop but all tramways would continue until Murallas stop.

Opening date expected until Murallas in just some weeks.

This photo is one of the narrowest point of the whole journey and without catenary.

Thanks Adpg.

Furthermore, this video taken by Adpg some days ago shows (in the night, less light), the same point than today's banner.
