Apparently, it charges the energy in each station.

Further information can be found (Sorry, only in Spanish) in the article. You also have a link to a video, where you can see the test trial in the factory. Apparently, Seville will implement these vehicles next year.
For the "Catenaryless Tram" CAF implanted the ACR (Acumulador de Carga Rápida - Fast Charge Battery) which consists in accumulating the braking energy.

Zaragoza (Or Saragossa) is just 70 km from me, I hope to ride the tram soon after it opens next year.

Moreover I'm surprise that in Spain where capital city Madrid has one of the fastest full metro stystem growing in the world, one of the biggest city of this country-Zaragoza don't have any underground or tunnel section for fast tram up to now. I mean somethig similar we have in Krakow.

Wikipedia says: The population of the city of Zaragoza in 1 September 2010 was 701,090, ranking fifth in Spain.

Tram tesing have began

Since November, the tram is in testing. For this reason, it has launched a campaign of peaceful coexistence and security to pedestrians and drivers that take into account their presence in the streets.

From day 2, the first unit of the tram is flowing from the depot, Begin the Beguine St., Bámbola square, to Los Olvidados way. Later, it will be tested in areas nearby.

Living with the tram is easy. In the case of pedestrians, simply take the same precautions that you have with cars. In the case of drivers, must not infringe on the tram platform at crossroads, be aware of their presence.

In order that citizens are informed, is the neighbors mailboxes documentation in the areas through which the tram is testing. Furthermore, striking posters are being placed along the entire route, with special emphasis on the busiest areas.

And remember, whether you're a pedestrian, driver or cyclist: Stop, Look, Pass.

Stop, Look, Pass campaign poster (sorry, I don't know why the image it's so big)

Civic campaign

The campaign has been launched is composed of the following:

* Sheets mailing in the areas near the route
* Put up posters on lampposts
* Fences 'Tram on testing'
* Large campaign poster in depot
* Visits to local schools
* Campaign in seven Aragonese radios
* Campaign press
* Broadcast on the Internet: www.tranviasdezaragoza.es
* Dissemination of information in the Spain square

In Iberian Way is working on sanitation pipe that runs under the bridge of the Imperial Canal. On the avenue, is paved and placing curbs, after it has been paved and the side of the couple and is open to traffic leaving the city way. It has also begun work on the awnings.

Section Fernando el Católico (Ferdinand the Catholic)

The works focus on the central boulevard, which is advanced in the pavement. Work is also on the sidewalks in some sections.

Section: Gran Vía (Big Way)

With the central boulevard open to pedestrians, the work focuses on the area closest to the Goya avenue. It is replacing the telephone wiring and pipes are running traffic lights and street lighting.

The tram is running a long a section of the tracks... on test drive...

Uploaded with ImageShack.us
and now, with weight to see what the reaction would be full of passengers.

As far as I know, it is unit 3010 that is doing all the tests. The rest, haven't either reached the depot or have not done any tests...

According to reports, Zaragoza's tram will be opened in April, maybe the 19th.
Works on a Northern extension of the line are set to start current year. There are two more lines planned and a metro line proposed.
