it's between 36th and 37th on the left side if you're heading uptown.

This is fugly. That design is doomed to be ridiculed by Empire State Building.

I hope they're going to improve it. A lot.

The EMpire State Building deserves a better neighbor.

I don't like the encroachment of high-rises in the vicinity of the ESB. A big part of its appeal is its relative isolation from the dense highrises of Midtown.

The "new" renders that Buyckske Ruben posted are actually old renders. The renders in the first post are the current design.

I'm sorry but I really don't like Gwathmey Siegel. They've done some really ugly buildings. Its not that this building is bad, i just find it a wasted oppurtunity to build something nice.

I disagree. I think it perfectly fits the New York style and it yet has something modern to it, but it keeps the old fashioned elegance.

This will fit into the skyline very well.

when this structure is finally finished we will know how it fits in. most skyscrapers which appear to be ugly in design turn to be surprisingly good looking when finished.

I don't think it looks too bad, although there's something about the crown that puts me off.
