0,06 USD per gallon here. (Venezuela).

95 petrol cheaper than water.

That price is for the Super 100 octane fuel, that usually costs 20 cent more than normal 95 unleaded.

Moreover, that price is for the "servito", that means that someone fill your tank for you. This has a cost, that usually is 8/10 cent/liter.

And I think that that price is quite old: average fuel price here is 1,78/1,80€/liter for unleaded 95. In this pic, it costs 1,966.

Yesterday I filled the tank spending 1,620€/liter.

I personally took this picture 9 days ago on A27 autostrada at this service station. I know that it's Super 100 fuel and that it's the "servito" price, but it's very expensive compared to prices in other areas/countries.

That was an expensive station. I filled up my car with LPG there with 0,91 € / liter, while at any other station in Italy I found LPG between 0,75-0,80 €/liter.

Wow, I've never seen such a high price in this period of time. I did, but at least 8/9 month ago, during winter.

It must have been an isolated case, that service station.

I drove on A14 the day before yesterday, and the highest price I've seen was 1,830.

Interesting that today that service station changed a lot its prices: http://www.autostrade.it/autostrade/...s.do?ads=10084
Now the unleaded 95 costs 1,799.

The state of New Jersey - which has no self-service (for some reason) - nevertheless has some of the lowest prices in the country.

A gas station owner on AARoads (a couple of years ago) says it's because their insurance costs are lower.

Maybe the price was so high because it was on a Sunday, and it's located on the main motorway that gets from Cortina d'Ampezzo mountain resort to the rest of Italy?

That would be a price that corresponds to some extent to German prices.

Yes, but is a special service station, called Enercoop. It sells products with a price way lower than others, but there are just 3/4 stations in all Italy.

I was sort of surprised, sort of not, by your price-increase report the other day. At my neighborhood Sunoco station it climbed rapidly from 3.40-something to 3.759 during early July, dropped (two or four cents a day) to 3.599 a couple of weeks later, and hasn't moved in over a week. The media were blaming the trouble in Egypt for the July increase so given the events last week.... (Egypt's not much of an oil-producing country but there were supposedly concerns on the market about the Suez Canal.)

In Italy fuel is usually more expensive on motorways.

Exactly..some Americans think Egypt produces large quantities of oil. Nope.. It's keeping the Suez canal open that's important. If it ever closed.. expect an unprecidented jump in oil prices.
