Useful little tool that converts US$/gal to any currency/L: http://convertgasprice.com/

Now we can know exactly how much gas is in America in our measurement and currency and cry in misery about how good they have it

We're exactly a dollar more now here in my part of Los Angeles, 2.79 a gallon (0.672 Euro / liter). Prices are jumping at least 20 cents or more a DAY in some areas. The usual 'refinery problems' is what we are being told. There's only about a month left of Winter blend gas, so prices probably won't go down until after the switch to Summer blend, but I doubt it.

Fuel price war in Norway:

Diesel: € 0.97/l
Euro 95: € 1.14/l

recommended prices in Norway:
Diesel: € 1.35/l
Euro 95: € 1.49/l

So that's a huge discount, these are prices unheard of in Norway.

Saw some $1.699s along US 1/9 in Linden, N.J., yesterday (on the way to visit relatives on Staten Island).

Also, Speedway's moved into the Northeast...well at least the sort of Philadelphia-New Jersey area...big time over the last few months.

Saudi Arabia raised its fuel price from 0.60 riyal to 0.90 riyal today, in an attempt to reduce the large budget deficit (a result of the low oil prices).

0.90 riyal = € 0.24 per liter, or $ 0.90 per gallon.

Why are oil prices so low? They are around $36/barrel, so what happened? It was 45. Will they go below 30 $?

There are many reasons, I guess.

The one I know about, and I don't actually know if it is real or just speculation, is that OPEC countries are lowering their oil price to counter-attack the american shale oil that started to be very used in these last year. But shale oil is economically sustainable only for prices around 45/50 $/barrel.

Not lowering their price, but maintaining their current output volume. This and the USA attempting to export oil are creating a surplus of oil. Thus, following basic concepts of economics, this surplus causes the prices to drop.

Yes, OPEC doesn't want to lose any more market share, so they are not cutting production even with the low oil prices seriously hurting their whole economic model. Many OPEC countries are heavily dependent on oil exports to make ends meet. The low oil prices have in particular destroyed the Venezuelan economy, on top of the fact that it has been cited as the world's worst managed economy.

Though low oil prices are not always a boon to the economy. It also causes the loss of investment in oil exploration in the hundreds of billions of dollars. Though some oil-producing regions have diversified more (notably Houston), the impact is still felt.

Hi! I just registered to say thank you for referring my website! I was surprised today to see some traffic coming from a forum. I'm glad others are finding it useful.

If anyone wants another country added, let me know. I'd be happy to add more.

I saw something unbelievable in Krakow on Orlen(Czerwone Maki): 98 had the same price as 95!(PLN 4.09). Is it a mistake or it is everywhere? Saw at 5 PM local time. Prices for fuel continue to fall: Shell: diesel 3.86(0.878€), 95 at 4.03(0.917€), VPower at 4.48(1.019€), Orlen: 4.09(0.936€) 95(and 98) petrol plus verva diesel(+), 3.87 for normal diesel, Tesco: 3.69(!)(0.84€) diesel, 3.93(0.892€) 95 petrol and 4.33(0.983€) 98 petrol, gas 1.79(0.408€); R8: diesel 3.80(0.863€), 95 petrol 3.99(0.908€), gas 1.82(0.416€). Tough times for oil magnates... But at least products for us, normal people, are cheaper than if it were at 110$/barrel. (Data taken in Krakow(PL), prices without signs of currency in PLN. 1€=4.399 PLN in my accounts, based on the average of "we sell" price in the exchanges.)

I've seen it occasionally in Canada and USA where they sell the premium gasoline for the price of regular (or the middle grade), just marketing

At one of the cheaper places in Sydney,

Unleaded E10 91 - 119.9
Unleaded 91 regular - 121.9
LPG - 64.9
Diesel - 99.9

I cannot remember diesel being that cheap relative to unleaded for a very long time in Australia.

What is that currency you show them? I can't believe a litre of diesel cost US90$! That's outrageous

Aussie prices in Australian cents per litre '
1 AUD currently buys about 70 US cents, 64 euro cents or 48 pence,

So diesel in Sydney is roughly

70 US cents a litre
64 euro cents a litre
48 pence a litre
