I refueled in the Netherlands today at Tango, an unmanned fuel chain. The price was 1.37 per liter for 95 unleaded.

While it may not sound particularly cheap compared to many other European countries, this is a 20 cent discount. They're basically giving away their entire profit at these prices, usually unmanned fuel stations give up to 12 cents discount compared to the 'official average' prices (which you only pay at motorway service areas).

Earlier this month I paid 1.10 per liter in Luxembourg and Spain. In Belgium and Germany you pay around 1.25 per liter at cheap fuel stations. In France you can get similar prices at supermarket fuel stations. Italy has prices that vary wildly even along the autostrada, I've seen prices between 1.45 and 1.75 per liter.

1,25 is stil not cheap for Belgium. The cheapest stations are at 1,200 or lower for euro 95unleaded. Here you can see the cheapest stations in each town in Limburg: http://www.standaard.be/berekenen/tankstation/limburg

near my home I go to Keupers, wich is just 2km from where I live and it is currently 1,199 for 95unleaded. However there are cheaper stations around but not in my town.

The Netherlands is really pricey.

Euro 95: € 1.639
Diesel: € 1.312
LPG: € 0.806

Unmanned fuel stations are usually cheaper, the local Firezone had a € 1.499 price for Euro 95 today. You basically only pay the mentioned prices along the motorway, elsewhere there is usually 9-14 cents discount, plus some chains have an additional discount one day per week.

In Austria standard Diesel si currently priced around at 1,05 - 1,10 €, depending where your're buying it from. On the motorway is around 1,30 €.

Euro 95 I don't know as I haven't checked it.

In Republic of Srpska BMB-95 is 0,91.
In Serbia, BMB-95 are 1,07.

Diesel, D-4 standard, prices are similar. D-5 are about 5 eurocents more expensive.

The price of unleaded 95 is currently around 4,70 PLN in central Poland. It is something around 1,08 EUR. Or maybe 1,10 EUR, it depends on the exchange rate.

I don't get the urge for manned fuel station in The Netherlands. Most in Belgium are not manned except for those on highways or highway exits. Most fuelstations are just a row of pumps and an automat.

I need some sort of conversion chart for comparing the price of fuel in the US to the rest of the World. You know we do not use the Metric system.

Thanks.
