Put this in your bookmarks for future reference

(yes it has been under € 1. My local Shell station discounts € 0,10 so it's about € 0,89 for about the past three to four months for me)

The prives are still expensive in some Greek areas (from 0,8 to 1,00 €) even in Athens too

Yesterday I paid 3.89 PLN/litre (0.85€) for 95 octane at the Lukoil station at DK8 30km from Warsaw. This station used to be the cheapest and I always refuelled there when I was going to my parents, but now the price is the same as in neighbouring stations.

I've read the Polish Zloty also lost value against the euro, so many Germans fill up in Poland (and buy other stuff).

Significantly. In summer the rate was 3.35PLN for 1€, now it is 4.64PLN, and around 2 weeks ago it peaked at 4.80.

Złoty also lost value against Swiss Franc which is especially important because many housing loans are taken in CHF. During last months monthly rates for those loans rose more than 30%.

Weird that Turkey isn't on the list - part of it is in Europe and their fuel is quite expensive.

Maybe the same reason as Ceuta, no extra fuel taxes?

1.03 here in Ireland. It might seem cheap but we have futher tax on top of that for driving a car. Coupled with an carbon tax next year it will be hard for some people to keep driving their cars. Also in the motor tax a higher litre cars pay excessively higher tax than a small litre. Fcuk the envoirment this is a money racket.

HEILIG SCHEISSE!!!! That fuel is expensive! Does it have gold dust in it or what?

Here in Mexico, the cars that have been selling the most through out these past years are the European ones (the cheap ones like VW, Renault, Peugeot, Fiat, Lancia etc...) because they are very fuel friendly; I remember back in the 1990's the most popular ones were the American cars, those things drink fuel like crazy, but at the time fuel wasn't that expensive here. Right now, PEMEX Magna (the cheap one) is at 8,80 Pesos/litre (26,40 MXN per gallon; 2,65 USD) the "expensive" one, PEMEX Premium, is at 9,90 Pesos/litre (29,70 MXN /gallon; about 3,00 USD), and the PEMEX Diesel is at 6,50 Pesos/litre (19,50 MXN /gallon; 1,95 USD). Prices here are the same at every pump everywhere in the entire country, and they are subsidized by the government. I still can't imagine how you all can cope with those ridiculously high prices, I suppose most people overthere use the public transport? The current gas prices here are already considered expensive by most of us; we've never paid that much for gas.

How can they be subsidized while the prices are similar to the U.S. where fuel is taxed?

Because they are not completely subsidized, and the government has been taking off that burden from PEMEX since about 2005. Their gas was always sold here at prices too undervalued, and the government took a-lot of their income, so the current administration has been letting the prices go up and has taxed PEMEX less so that they can upgrade their technology to search for oil in deep waters and develop oil fields inland where the oil is deep in the ground. Before that, the subsidizing was so much that people in the US border went into Mexico by the masses to go buy gas since it was way cheaper than in the US side. So fuel in Europe is heavily taxed or what? I don't think those are reasonable prices.
