Mostly it is said whether it is in Liters or in Gallons. Europe is mostly Liters, sometimes it is also said in Gallons, to make it easier for the Americans. 1 Gallon = 3,79 Liters, btw

Or 1 Imperial Gallon = 4.55 litres just to confuse things further.

US uses the normal Gallons right? So 3,79 Liters per Gallon?

Define "normal"? Imperial measurements were the originals technically. The gallon that the US uses is known officially as the "US Gallon" and yes, it is 3.79 litres.

Ok, that answers my question. I wasn't sure
Normal=most commonly used, which I thought to be the US Gallon.

Indonesia :

There are actually several type of fuel used here, but I dont know how they called in English :p
This one is mostly used for car/motorcycles
60 cent USD/litre (subsidized price, which remains constant UNLESS govt decide to increase or decrease the price. Our domestic fuel price is kinda controlled by government, and of course it is out of Free-market price-controlled mechanism)

That price is only available at gas station which owned by government company (99.1% gas station in this country owned by government company).

There are also non-subsidized oil with higher octane available at Private Gas Station/Govt gas station,, .. the price is always fluctuated due to worldwide oil price, but the price here is around 0.80 - 1.0 USD/litre ....

I don't like subsidized fuel because the further oil prices increase, the more taxpayer money it costs, hence higher taxes for everyone, even those who don't have a car or motorcycle. It also goes the other way round; I don't like heavily subsized public transportation, except for those who otherwise aren't able to have some form of mobility. (poor, disabled etc.)

Oil subsidized price is kinda usual in a country where oil is explored and produced .... Middle East country is even cheaper .. (so does Russia and Venezuela, LOL ...)

Gas prices are $2.95/gallon (€0.577/liter) nationwide, which is the lowest in a while.

Meanwhile here in Buffalo, the average price is $3.42 (about €0.67/liter).

Diesel here is at $4.03/gallon (€0.789/liter).

Again, prices here are falling, but not as fast in other places. Back in Hartford, prices recently fell below $3! I would have loved that back in the spring/summer when prices were increasing so fast, but now that I don't need a car, they fall just as fast.

South Africa - about 1US$ a litre. coming down though - but not as much as expected thanks to the weakening of the South African Rand against the US$, the Pound and the Euro.
