There are a few gas stations in my area getting closer to the $4 mark. That's almost €0.80 a liter for you Euro folks.

Damn, this is because Bernanke said he'd keep rates low and that's going to keep the $ low for a while.

That, or the gas station owners are on crack.

Too high, I use Unleaded Plus $3.59/gallon @ Chevron. I only use Chevron for my car. I VERY RARELY use other brands.

LPG .....2.90 PLN / litr 0,68 €/l

In some filling stations in Italy the Super Unleaded 95 peaked 1,90 € per liter!

The nightmare comes true: Italy will be the FIRST €urozone country to see the 2 as the first number on fuel prices!

Yesterday I realized that fuel prices have hit new record, I filled my car with diesel at 2.71 leva, which is €1.39. Euro 95 has reached 2.57 leva = €1.31...
Worst is still to come, as crude petrol on world trades hit newer records today after announcements that Iran is going to stop export...

But don't worry - scooter is asking for spring service now (so driving it is a case of over a dozen days)

I will clean my Gilera tomorrow.

The excise tax rate is lower for diesel fuel, but road tax and purchase taxes on diesel vehicles are higher, so it only pays off to drive diesel if you drive a lot of kilometers. Only about 15 - 18% of the Dutch car fleet are diesel cars.

My Yamaha oldtimer is ready to go in the garage, but with all the snow, water and mud on the streets, it will be probably at least a month until I can drive it... so I will stick to my car. It's 6,5-7/100 diesel now, will turn to 3/100 Euro95 later in the spring But I can't install the baby-chair on the scooter, so the car wont be forgotten

I filled up yesterday, noticed for the first time that petrol costed more than 15 SEK/L

Look at this for some comfort

This was the lowest price in 2001, 8:72kr/l (0,95€)

In 2003, 95 cost around 9.5 EEK or € 0.6 per litre in Estonia. So in 9 years the price has gone up 130%
