Right now it works out to about .89/litre (equivalent to .67 Euro/litre). My commute to and from work is about 50 km each way/100 km per day so I just fill up the tank whenever I need it regardless of the price.

Given the fact that 1 € = 40 Baths, fuel in Thailand costs about 0,80 €/l

Some hours ago, 45.628413N 8.780560E

Station closed so 0,10 € discount per litre! If open, prices would have been 10 cents higher!

I'm seriously thinking about converting my diesel car to methane. Italian prices are f*king ridiculous.

How about autogas (LPG)? Italy is one of the biggest LPG markets in Europe (together with Poland and Turkey).

I'll continue to drive diesel unless the tax situation changes. Diesel is € 0.35 per liter cheaper than gasoline in the Netherlands plus my mileage is much better (5L/100km). On the other hand the average road tax is higher (€ 750 per year for me).

I thought about it, but I did some comparisons with my friend's LPG Fiesta and we basically spend the same for fuel per km, so I don't think it's worth it. In the end I won't probably adapt my car to other fuel, too many disadvantages (cost of conversion, plus trunk basically unusable), even if there are some fiscal incentives now in Italy to do the conversion.

Panic in the UK: the prime-minister adviced the citizens to fuel up their cars and make some supplies of fuel because starting with April 8th there will be a general strike at the petrol stations across the country.

Prices today (per litre) in Statoil:
95: € 1.434
98: € 1.474
Diesel: € 1.429

Fuel companies have reported that the consumption of petrol has gone down with the rising prices. Consumption of diesel, however, has remained stable (since practically all commercial road transport is run on diesel).

95: 1,493 EUR
100: 1,509 EUR
diesel: 1,365 EUR

I notice that in last months I almost never encounter significant traffic jams in center of Ljubljana (everyday occurrence until last autumn) as if less people use car to go to the work (except in case of accidents, of course).

Traffic volumes are always lower from December to February. Especially January can have traffic volumes as much as 10 - 20% lower than months like April, June, September, October, etc.

It really is ridiculous. They have not even confirmed there will be a strike, which will be well over a week away, but already there are queues and some stations can't get any new deliveries, which means some people who actually need fuel now can't get any. Next week will be Easter Bank Holiday, which is traditionally a busy period so some are stocking up for that. I will go after then if I need to as it will be dead (unless there is a strike).
