I see MK-ovals (and I have seen AL-ovals on other pictures). Does Kosovo already use SRB or MNE-ovals for the other neibouring countries?

And finally: Under that white brigde: Is that a kind of digital signalisation that is hanging there? (one above each lane)

Update on the Prishtina roundabout. Found a higher-res photo of the project (which should start construction soon after Independence celebrations). The Government has published a 1-year brochure on its work and these images were extracted from it.

I know, but those two languages (Albanian and Serbian, in that order) are official according to the Constitution so they must be respected.

I believe so, but since this area is connected to Macedonia, you only see the MK ovals.

Like Chris said, I believe that's signalization telling people that there's a roundabout nearby.

Flashers? It looks like a system to me which can show a green arrow or a red cross, that's why I was so curious about it.

Could be. It must be something new, because when I drove through there this past summer they weren't there.

Not nessecary, since Serbian can be used in both scripts. I saw pictures from northern-Kosovo where both scripts are used, but then not the Albanian names.

Despite the fact that the two languages are not clearly seperated, I stil like the clear signs.

We use the most recent UN list, and Kosovo is not on that one, and please oh please don't bring this up every time.

ChrisZwolle ≠ Netherlands. Other than that, Kosovo never had any KS oval, cause that's since always been Kyrgyzstan.

It doesn't matter whether it says KS or KOS or RKS or anything of the sort. What matters is roads and their improvement. Post us some more pictures of the new roads if you're there

But Kosovar licenseplates all contain the "KS"-combination.

According to the interior minister of Kosova, "RKS" will be the country symbol. Which is already approved by the according UNO-Office in Geneva.

The old ones will be replaced in the near future by licenseplates with the new country code "RKS". If you don't believe that, ask the minister of internal affairs =>

The road sings in Kosovo are having more and more common with those in Albania. This shouldn't surprise anyone.

no, they are still much more similar to serbian or macedonian (aka ex-yugoslav). albanian are identical with italian, and those kosovian are not similar to them at all (except maybe colour scheme)
