You are right on the new design of the car plates and the new abbreviation that will used in them although they have not started making them yet!

I like the RKS code and especially new look of the number plates, I would say they look very original and "Kosovar" !

In the begining the were thinking of having them on but changed their mind later, maybe they will change them again before they start putting them on the cars...

Not really. They look very "Irish" to me.

Really, it looks almost similar to the Irish one. Anyway, it's good that they get their own since they're independent

Hm, that's odd. There are a lot of Kosovars with ties to Croatia and a lot of Kosovar-Croations from the area of Zadar that have connections to Kosovo. I'd think that you would see someone with KS license plates, but I guess there aren't that many that drive up there.

Well u have not seen them in Bjelovar for sure nor in the "Brotherhood and Unity" highway since no Kosovar vehicles would be able to go through Serbistan to get into it but there must plenty on the A1 at least!!! Tourists that come from Kosovo stay on the seaside mostly, Kosovars are no fans of village tourisms, they wanna see the sea!!!

I have seem myself lots of them in Dubrovnik in summer 2007 (I was not around there this summer) and I have seem some as far as Fužine in Gorski Kotar !

Btw I have seen a truck in Zaprešić on Tuesday too!!!

Let's talk with respect for each other. I suppose what's your opinion on Serbia, I have mine on Kosovo too even if the Bulgarian government recognized it as a state, but this forum is not the place where political conflicts will be solved, so let's keep the irony and the provocations away.

I have seen one Kosovar licenseplate only in Rotterdam in January. I was wondering whether this was lega or not since Kosovo had not delcared its independence by then and thus not recognised (and thus the car had en licenseplate from a non-existing country). But that problem has been solved now since the Netherlands have recognized Kosovo. But since then I have never seen a car from Kosovo over here.

Serbistan is a Turkish name for Serbia, do u think Turks are being disrespectful to them by calling them that, STAN means land boy...

Frankly speaking I would not care less then about ur opinion on my country...so huuuuush boy...

I am well aware what "stan" means in Turkish, but in this case it was an ironic use.

No, I don't think so, because the country is not recognized by Serbia. They can't go in Spain, Greece or Romania neither...

You are wrong about Spain, Greece and Romania...they can go to all of them with Kosovar number plates and Kosovar passports too (apart from Romania)...these decissions have been made by these countries based on "humanitarian" and economical reasons although they have not recognised our state yet!

Here's a map of countries where Kosovo's passports are accepted de jure. It was changed for the last time on the 28/11/2008. You can update it if you have independent sources, even better - sources from the concerned countries.
