The new vote will take place tomorrow from 11am (local time). Triangle should this time be approved (some politicians having changed their mind) , but many associations have already promised to lodge several appeals. If approved, its construction will therefore be heavily delayed, the new parisian landmark will only be inaugurated in 2020 or 2021.

Yes but wait : the contruction permit will be attacked for sure, and here we go for years of procedures.

At least it's approved, that's what matters! There will be lots of appeals for a change (that's the way it is in France), but its construction will happen. We've waited 40 years for a highrise to arrive in Paris (since Montparnasse), so we can handle a couple of years appeals wise .

Even that one looks old, early 80s at least. Something new needs to be built, and now there will be two new ones! Hopefully this will inspire people to finally build a cluster around the Montparnasse Tower as planned from the beginning.

To me, you can't call a 'skyscraper' a building below 150m. So, apart from the T.G.I. currently U/C, Triangle will be the next skyscraper after Montparnasse in 72.

I think this is pretty nice, especially compared to most Paris skyscrapers outside of La Defense (like horrible Montparnasse).

View from Arc de Triomphe shows how it will fit into the skyline - not so bad:

That looks similar to the effect that 4WTC creates! Hopefully it will look just as nice.

approval from the public inquiry of the triangle tower 2nd version

http://www.lesechos.fr/politique-soc...pe-2061689.php

Quote:

When I see what it will look like from the Arc de Triomphe, it will be another nice view of the Eiffel tower that will be spoiled by an ugly, isolated tower that I'm sure will look nothing like the renders.

This is such a joke besides...
