***IMPORTANT: TRIANGLE NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT !***

Guys, Triangle's public inquiry will end on 20 december 2011 and if you like this highrise & want it to see the light, it is necessary to leave a support message on the spot at the Mairie du 15ème arrondissement, or by sending a mail by post!

To make Triangle happen, the P.L.U (Plan Local d'Urbanisme) must be revised so that a building taller than the regulation height in Paris (37m maximum) can be erected.

This change of P.L.U is actually the final obstacle before Triangle's definitive approval.

The problem is that so far, the local residents (nimbies) are very well organised & highly pressurise the projet on a daily basis to make it fail.

There's one week left to support this beautiful project, every single letter/post counts, after the 20th december, it will be too late!

May we have your support then people all around the world? Foreign posts/mails will have a strong impact, Paris & Triangle also belong to foreigners & you must have your say as well!

Quote:
This is the procedure to back Triangle:

-If you're in Paris before December 20th, please pop in the Mairie du 15ème arrondissement whose address is 31 rue Péclet - 75015 PARIS (Métro : Vaugirard) & leave a message in the book at the people's disposal (the mock-up is exposed as you can see in my previous post).

Monday to friday : 8h30 - 17h
Thurday : 8h30 - 19h30
Saturday : 9h - 12h30

-Otherwise, you can write a letter explaining why you like the project & why Paris must approve it (no matter whether your message is long/short/in english/spanish etc) & send it by post ASAP (before Dec 20th) at the following address:

A l'attention de M. Michel LEMASSON- Commissaire Enquêteur-
Mairie du 15ème arrondissement
31 rue Péclet, 75 015 PARIS
Don't forget to mention your nationality, it will be appreciated .

I do hope that some of you guys from other countries will help Paris get its new Landmark...The 'City of Lights' & I rely on you folks, if you do Paris this favor, we'll be very grateful...

Many thanks guys, & keep me informed...

Hmmm, I am mixed on this. The design is fantastic, but it is too massive. It would better, imo, if it were an isosceles triangle. It would look amazing from the ground, but from an aerial view, it would be too squat.
Overall, though, I say build it. Unusual, but unique.

***TRIANGLE NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT MORE THAN EVER!!!***

The nimbies, the Green Party & several associations once more are ferociously opposed to any ambitious project in Paris & are currently trying to make it fail...

On our part, we're trying our best to support this amazing project by sending letters/by signing the petition, but we also need a strong support from foreigners.

If we fail to make this new parisian landmark come true, we will all have to content ourselves with the terrible Montparnasse tower (1972) which is to date the very last tower to have been built inside Paris.

Do you guys wanna wait another 30 years before seeing another major project come true in the french capital...? I personally don't...If this project was ugly, we would understand why some people are reluctant to it, but Triangle is far from being ugly, its design is amazing, not opaque & will bring life to an area (Porte de Versailles & its atrocious Parc des Expositions) that is dull, hideous & so boring. Such an opportunity won't happen twice...

Furthermore, this new parisian landmark will allow people to make the most of the fantastic view at the top of the pyramid.

Once again, TRIANGLE DEPENDS ON YOU, ITS FUTURE NOT ONLY IS IN OUR HANDS, IT'S ALSO IN YOURS.

IF YOU WANT TRIANGLE TO BECOME THE PARISIAN LANDMARK OF THE 21st CENTURY, ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS SIGN THE PETITION BELOW:

HERE

We rely on you...thanks to you all &...

Merry Xmas...

***Don't forget to sign the petition folks, altogether we can make this new landmark happen, so just sign it (only once per IP address) & spread the word...!***

I already signed the petition supporting the Tour Triangle. Anything to make up for the bad reception that the Montparnasse Tower orignally received upon its completion. The Triangle Tower barely touches the city limits, while the Montparnasse Tower is further within the city centre. I am willing to support the Triangle Tower, even if it looked like a residential tower, or a hotel, even though it is really intended as an office building. I am also willing to support any redevelopment for the Parc Des Expositions that may come up because of the tower on its site.

Many thanks for your contribution Jim, we appreciate! Don't forget to spread the word via your social networks (Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Msn & so on...)

If Triangle gets built, the whole area's going to change indeed, a big park will be created next to the Pyramid (as you can see in the video), & so more changes are to happen as well.

***Please sign the petition guys, help us make Triangle come true***

This is off-topic, but how many exhibition centres, major or minor, can the Paris area support?

Allow another 2 or 3 years to get rid of Nimbies legal actions..then works will start.

Triangle does take some time to progress (owing to those damned nimbies) but it does move on, that's the main thing!

Indeed, further to the Public Enquiry TRIANGLE has reached another milestone: it did get the 'Commissaire enquêteur' 's approval.

Though, there are 3 conditions yet to be reunited to officially say that TRIANGLE is gonna be the next skyscraper to see the light in Paris intra muros after the controversial Montparnasse Tower.

Quote:
The 'Commissaire Enquêteur' gave a positive verdict but the following things must be fixed though:

1- the competitive positionning of the Parc des Expositions (adjacent to the tower), must remain, particularly on the european scene

2- the traffic must be decent

3- TRIANGLE must cast less shadows over the nearby buildings, especially those of Boulevard Victor
On the last 2 conditions, the mayor of Paris -Bertrand Delanoë- is said to have already scheduled some complementary studies.

The planning permission (filing) should be taking place in 2012 & the final contract should be signed once all appeals are cleared & once the demolition of Hall 1 (being part of the Parc des Expositions) completed.

these renders mislead people. it will never be this ethereal. not even unoccupied. instead, a brutal monster. i hope very much it won't be realized.
totally wrong move for paris.

Are you Nostradamus...?Wait for TRIANGLE to get built before bashing it...to date, nobody can assert what TRIANGLE's cladding will be like. It might not be as transparent as it is in the renderings but for discussing it with Unibail, they did tell me this 'issue' was their very first concern, they're well aware to be eagerly awaited by the crowd on this matter. So now, let's wait & see!

What an ignorant comment...how on Earth can one compare TRIANGLE with MONTPARNASSE...? Compare the latter with the future T.G.I in Batignolles, but not with TRIANGLE, otherwise get a pair of glasses...

Though, I'd be curious to know the similarities...
