I genuinely hope for a radical change in Municipality policies in order to put an end to this whole mess that the existing authorities are making out of Paris. Same for EPAD, La Defense is supposed to be a CBD and now they’re talking about “mixité” and building cheap cubical HLM-like structures. Sorry to burst your French bubble but the skyscrapers of La Defense as it stands now are midget freaks in line with French mentality. The Tour Phare is an absolute epitome: 297m… what kind of low self-esteemed contends itself with 297m… what’s with the 300m, is it too high? Same for Hermitage Plaza… it can’t be above Eiffel Tower. It would have made sense for Levallois-Perret to raise its Twin Towers coz they stood within La Defense’s skyline but they’ve been cancelled… What kind of people aim for the low... Why would you put aside a CBD that is meant for high-rise building to sprout a dismally isolated structure in stark disharmony with Paris. Bottomline, today, La Defense is asymmetrical. The right side of the axis is cluttered while the left side would have been a perfect spot for Tour Triangle. Adding to that office space in adjacent Nanterre is much cheaper. What’s wrong with them people. I hope if the Tour triangle is built, the UNESCO will withdraw Paris as a World Heritage Site because whether you like it or not, Tour Triangle has been built not to redeem the lifestyle within the neighbourhood but because of the “clientélisme” that is increasingly rampant just like in Marseille.

I expanded on the incongruities of this project by pointing out tangible issues people in the neighbourhood faced and your politicians' vested interest. If you can't handle that constructively, I'm afraid you're gonna have to dish it out.

I think the location is excellent. It couldn't be built within the La Defense cluster because it wouldn't look right and it would make the skyline imbalanced. It's current location is glaring and ostentatious, which makes it impossible to miss. I like that. The people that say that it shouldn't be built where it is planned would be the same ones who would have thought that the Eiffel Tower shouldn't be built where it is either, 120 years ago.

While I don't particularly like the design, I don't think it looks horrible either, and I think it's a necessary project to revive that "porte de versailles" area. That area has soooo much potential, and with the new skyscrapers starting to build up close to that area, I hope it becomes a new centerpoint for paris.

I like the design immensely however it does look wrong for the location. Someone pointed out that it's like a pyramid in the dessert. Well I kind of think those look quite nice in their locations so I'm not so sure this is an entirely wrong location either.

TRIANGLE about to be buried due to a lack of 'political majority'...

Despite having gone through several key stages over the last few months/years, this new landmark is now very likely to be abandoned next month (on 17/11) as part of a crucial vote of the Conseil de Paris. It would be 2 votes short...

Since the socialists got into power at the last Presidential elections, the project has been suffering due to a lack of political majority (Greens and right wing reject it). Those political twits are now on the point of sacrifying an ambitious project in the name of their own political interests, only to pick on their political rivals...

Even the new Mayor of Paris -Anne Hidalgo- who has been backing the project since day one, now seems uncomplaining...

Another proof of the investors's incapability to make their ambitious projects come true in Paris, way too many obstacles (political, associations anti everything who want to make the capital remain a giant museum, legal actions taking ages to be sorted out...) Definitely a big waste (such an ambitious project with a major architectural gesture won't happen again before a very, very long time). We'll never make it in this capital...pathetic.

The right wing used to back TRIANGLE but they changed sides once the socialists got into power... furthermore Hollande's alliance with the Green party to secure his victory at the Presidentials had heavily weakened the project... There's no political majority any more so let's face reality, TRIANGLE is dead ...

Triangle and Paris in danger, they need you!!!

Do foreigners want Paris to remain a giant museeum without any new ambitious projects for the next 40 years or do they want to see the French capital build some new landmarks marking the 21st century now???

To make some new iconic structures like Tour TRIANGLE possible, please do not wait and sign the petition (created by some french architects) right now before the crucial vote on 17/18 november, after that date, it will be too late. You foreigners also have your say, Paris also belongs to you, so make yourselves heard and sign the petition HERE

Merci...

ps: 'courriel' means email/ 'code postal' means postcode / Don't forget to post the link on Facebook/Twitter and so forth...!!!

Just Ugly. Not a proper project for Paris.

Stop trolling about Paris being a museum if the Tour Triangle project were not completed, there are already landmarks for the 21st century, like Les Halles or La Fondation Louis Vuitton. It is also moving in the ZAC Rive Gauche or Batignolles.

It has a few 21st century lowrises but it needs something eye-catching on the skyline after 40 years of nothing.

I signed the petition also
