Transport Tycoon
I had this game ages ago and it kicked ass, does anyone know if Chris Sawyer (or anyone else for that matter) id developing a new version? Traffic Giant just didnt have the same buzz.
Also, what about suggestions for a new version? I think bridges need to be allowed higher than one square above ground/water and different graded roads should be introduced and rail stations to be allowed more than 4 platforms. |

There is some german transportation game that is kindof interesting. Mobility is its name (http://www.mobility-online.de/ ), but what you do is lay bus and train routes, decide the headways, and such. You also have control over parking lots/ramps (implementing technology aides to make more efficient), build shopping malls, and other various things.
It was fun to play around with... no sim city or TT. |

Yes, Transport Tycoon is awesome. I'd love to see a new version.
I haven't played it for quite a while though. I should see if I can make it work on WinME....

With regards to features, I'd say dinp has some good ones. Better airports (that can handle more traffic) would be usefull. The deLuxe version has four types of environments, normal, North American mountains, South American rain forest an desert and Loony world. Much fun, with different industry types, vehicles etc. Great great great game

There is a way to run XP in a "compatibility mode" that allows you to run legacy software, but I forget how. On my old PC (before this recent new one), I had several old versions of AUTOCAD running on XP that way. A programmer friend helped me out, and I don't remember what he did.

Well i'm about to inherit an old computer from my mate whose just treated himself to a new one, so i'll use this one purposely for old games, like Theme Park (original) and TTDLX. I did get TT working in XP, but it was in a window, couldnt be made full screen and wouldn't scroll smoothly, but this old PC should fit the job nicely. Any further developments on a sequel?
