Maramureș County  Composed of at least four disticnt historical / ethographical regions: Sătmar comitatus, Land of Maramureș, Land of Lăpuș, Land of Chioar. Land of Maramureș is the most archaic region in Europe, with very original and beautiful traditions, different than other Romanian or foreign ethnographic zones. Vișeu de Sus / Oberwischau / Felsővisó - a town of 16,938. Certified in 1365, it was for centuries a village, up to 1770 when Germans from Slovakia and Austria were brought for forestry exploitation. In 1900 there were 4191 Germans, 2499 Jews, 1258 Romanians, 938 Hungarians, 271 Ruthenians (Ukrainians). Near the town is a village called Vișeu de Jos which is the departing point of Mocănița steam train on Vaser Valley. Oarda, Alba County  A village between the cities of Alba Iulia and Sebeș, in the beautiful Middle Mureș Valley, where was born Ion Bocșa, one of most loved folk singers. One of his best song speaks about the beauty of Transylvania and Romania. The lyrics are aproximatively like this: " The heart's desire took over the country from one corner to another I took on many roads, I found proud people I saw the forest leafing out and the fields turning green ... Song from Transylvania trumpeted from one hill to another Oh, sweet language, tell me that we're united in this land..."  This song may take one's mind to perhaps the most memorable description of Transylvania, made by Nicolae Bălcescu: "There, there lays a country more splendid than any other that God planted on Earth. It seems like a magnificent palace, where all the natural beauties are gathered together and wisely aranged. A mountain range surrounds it like the wall of a fortress and from this range many ranges of beautiful and tall hills begin... Thick forests where the bear roams freely, noble fields where the buffalo dozes lazily ... majestic oak and beech trees rise their head to the skies... Crags and giant mountains, dark forests, green meadows, parfumed gardens, cool valleys, brooks flowing through blooming fields... In the depths of these mountains lay the richest and most varied minerals: salt, iron, silver, gold..."

This one is in Land of Motzi People, an ethnographic area where people live in households spread high in mountains.
