Hm...I might not be that "optimistic"...but I feel in general, the govt had a legacy of not getting rid of our colonial past, probably because Mr Lee himself was actually an admirer (in most aspects) of the British.
This is quite unlike some other Asian countries who start demolishing colonial-era buildings, rename roads, and so on, all in the name of getting rid of a "shamefull era."

![]() this area is one very beautiful area that can almost rival Marina Bay but is less often exposed. But it is actually possible to walk along the coast from Esplanade all the way to Kallang Bay |

ooh i didn't know that....someone in the kopitiam thread was talking about doing something romantic by walking some marathon distance with tht someone special wearing high heels, tink it's wiser to heed your suggestion, plus great view too

I walked on 3" heels with a male friend from Kallang Theatre (after Phantom of the Opera) to Marina Mandarin to catch a cab home... Nice walk though...No HP then to call for taxi :P |

Recently it was revealed that the whole Kallang River area is set for a revamp...and about time as it seems to be one of the weak links on the CBD outskirts.
