Why?

Everyones so pessimistic about Uk highrise projects.
It should be starting construction by at least the end of 2009.

this is on hold.
the developers have filed a planning application to use the site as a car park. the developers have also publicly said they won't build it until they've sold all the apartments in a development they completed several years ago... still hasn't sold out.

Was in century buildings yesterday at my brothers apartment, they have finally cleared all the rubble and construction stuff that was on the site, also several surveyors have been on-site.

Anyone know what's happening?
