Poor Texans....what a way to lose their storm-delayed home opener. What a shocker. I almost felt bad for them, except, I'm a fan of Peyton Manning, with him being a local boy.

Beating the Quiefs isn't exactly an accomplishment in the NFL. There are a couple of junior college teams that could give Kansas City a run for their money.

Falcons surprising so far, Matt Ryan doesn't look like a rookie out there.

Yea but allowing Larry Johnson only 2 yards of offense, when he ran all over Denver for 198 yards, and killed the Broncos. Panthers looks solid and unstoppable! |

I think you do!
Go Panthers!! We're playing Tampa Bay this weekend...if we keep playing like we are, I think we have a decent chance. Everyone has been raving about how awesome the NFC East is this year, but I think the NFC South is right behind them. I feel like every team in our division is pretty decent. Right now I think the Saints are underperforming. Tampa is doing just about how I thought they would, and the Falcons are exceeding my expectations. I always thought the Panthers were going to be good this season, especially seeing all the raw talent we have and the fact that if we don't do well, the whole coaching staff is toast. Barring major injuries, I could definitely see the Panthers making (and hopefully winning) the Super Bowl this year.

Yeah my Saints are just snake bitten. Injuries abound. Can't expect them to do much with half the starters out, so I don't.

Don't know about the rest of ya'll,but I'm getting a little sick of the NFC East butt kissing by most of the sportscasters.Especially Michaels and Madden. They act like it's God's gift to the NFL.
Besides the Giants, what has any of those teams done in recent memory? Redskins-Gimme a break!Cowboys-Chokers!Eagles-Chokers! The NFC South is looking very competitive and strong so far.Granted it is a long season and we could all be crying the blues come January. But I think the NFC South will produce a Super Bowl team this year and hopefully it will be the Panthers. |
