I've been following this thread for a couple of days now, damn this railway is sooo nice... Great start for Venezuela Railways System. Im interested in this project because it is much similar to the one we have in the Philippines, which is Northrail Phase 1 (82km) standard gauge, double track mostly elevated railways of course there are portions that are tunnelled. Currently the railway is under remodification and will resume early next year for completion in 2010.

With this railway (Caracas - Cua), I was provided with a glipmse on how our future modern railway will look like. More powe to Venezuela Railways..

IFE and community tree planting day in aragua state

Maracay, Nov 2 (REDACTA) .- The Instituto Autonomo de Ferrocarriles del Estado (IAFE) conducted an environmental day in the state aragüeña in which were planted over 500 trees of various species.

The body of the Ministry for Infrastructure ecological organized the event in order to offset the environmental impact caused by the execution of the railroad Puerto Cabello - The Crossroads.

Ligia Blanco, spokeswoman for the Las Delicias Communal Council, concluded that the activity conservationist reaffirms the purpose of the Green Brigade, which integrate all boys and girls of the community.

He noted that the commitment is to maintain and increase the planting to conserve the environment, "while a tree grows next to the train," said neighborhood leader.

. During the activity were planted trees of various kinds as araguaney, Chaguaramos, eucalyptus, among others.

Most of these were planted to compensate for the logging that has been applied to the construction of a road in the settlement peasant Castle.

This day was extended to the Las Delicias area in the municipality Girardot, and Santa Cruz de Aragua, in the municipality Lamas.

The event, organized by the IAFE, was backed by members of the Green Brigade "The Araguaney" under the coordination of the Communal Las Delicias.

The group carried out the planting of 72 trees in the green zone is located at the edge of the Cano La Colorada, in the urbanization Las Delicias.
