CASABLANCA | 3 Highrise Towers | #Approved

i know it sound grouse and mean but i do believe big parts of the old medina should be knocked down provide their inhabitants with new homes out side the city center flaten the land and start building high tower buildings for businees or commerce use like in other countries. shanghai did that as well as other emerging cities cause casablanca can afford of not having a decent modern financial business destrict in the heart if the city with a good skylines like any other modern metropolis because the current picture of the heart of the city meaning ( al-magana ) and whats behind it is simply not good match since the old medina houses are so disorganised their roofs are very uneven displaying a junk or debris of old rusty satelite dishes that spoils the image of the city casablanca the city that should be amongst the most glamourous cities of the world .
an other bad exampel is l'avenue mohamed 6 which was planned since 1992 till now they are having problems to remove the current inhabitants of the old ugly houses and provide them with accomodations in order to start the process of the avenue construction of what is thaught to be the prettiest boulevard of the hall city but only on paper.

I agree with you the Casa old medina is agly and doesn't feet in a new modern Casablanca.

There are a lot of cities in the world who have removed their old centers and build their new modern buildings, just like what China has done. They have broken down a lot of old Chinese areas, cities etc and build their modern areas.

I think it's really good the way things are going right know. Casablanca is terribly planned with all the businesses in the middle of the city. Everyone is at the same place at the same time. This causes extreme traffic jams at all hours. If we can manage to get some workplaces outside of the city and redistribute the flows of people and cars Casablanca will become a healthier place. As long as these suburbs are well maintained I think Casa can decrease it's density.

The important thing is to plan the infrastructure beforehand, and not wait until everyone has moved out. Casa needs a few penentrants with high speed capacity, not just big boulevards.
