Considering what's happening these days, this tower is getting more like a mirage

Its over with the Nakheel Tower.

translated text:

From a Belgium financial magazine.

The tower is canceled the Nakheel group is in serious problems. The Palm islands are sinking away in sea. According to a study of the Dutch soil research company Fugro the islands sink gone with 5 milimeter per year, and are possible the drop without measures still accelerating. Nakheel question the results of the research.

"The turnover of Nakheel paid 78 per cent in up to 1.97 billion dirham (365 millions euro). The group succeeds there still scarcely in new tenants or commission purchasers for the apartments, villas, hotels and shops which she builds. Nakheel had swallow as a result, considerable down rate on not-saled projects. The group crossed out among others already the plans for new towers of 1 kilometre high, and for a new city, water front. For that last project Belgian dredgers would be involved, but the firms have already crossed the projects out of there orderbooks."

The Palm Islands are sinking. The water level is rising. The debt is growing. The economy is shrinking. The Planet is warming.
And the sheikh doesn't really care.

So the Dutch and Belgium companies who reclaimed the island did a dodgy job, huh ... shouldn't Nakheel ask for damages and compensations?
