DUBAI | Meraas Tower | ~550m | ~1800ft | 101 fl | App

Split the threads again. This time EP15 has turned into Meraas Tower and is approximately 550m

EP 15 Tower

Within EP, the EP Site 15 Tower combines simple geometric principles with new and emerging technologies to create a modern, soaring "tower of light". Like a prism, the tower has a series of faceted surfaces that increase the light and air travelling through the building, which maximises energy generation in building systems.

"The EP 15 Tower filters wind and light and the prism shape helps the tower to withstand the pressures of high wind and minimises risks," Smith said. "The six holes on the building helps pass the wind through and costs 25 per cent less."

The tower will have a build-up area of 300,000 square metres and will rise to 101 floor. It will be a mixed-use project with a hotel, convention facilities and commercial and retail spaces.

EP 09 and EP 15 Towers

Well according to this article it's around 1800 feet and it doesn't look like it reaches 600m anyway:

Where is the previous thread for this tower with another tower in the supertall section? Has it been removed or something because I can't find it.

Anyway for the past few day's the middle eastern skyscraper's news and everything has been flooding my brain and can't quite get the whole picture (which is a good thing) Does anyone have map location for each towers in the photo below?

i'm so dead confused. So Theres EP7, EP9 and EP15 but EP15's name has changed to Meraas tower? its confusing because I thought the atrium city tower has become meraas tower (by looking at this; http://www.thenational.ae/article/20...7/1001/OPINION) But then what is the new 'One Dubai' tag for the AC tower? is that the latest name for AC tower now?, or meraas is not the name of any tower but is it just the company name?

And does EP7 and EP7 remain as EP7 and EP9 in their name?. it would be whole lot better for me if all these confusing towers were individually separate in their threads. lol.

Nope.

AC Towers has become One Dubai
EP 07 (I think) has become One Park Avenue, that's the wavy one.
This sort of hexagon shaped one has become Meraas Tower
EP 09 (the 6 towers with the hanging gardens) has become Park Gate

Man it's getting hard to keep up with all these projects in Dubai. I love this one though... great design. Hard to believe some will be twice as big.

For me, this is akin in style to the SWFC or ICC, only taller.

Stick this is Shanghai and people would be raving and the design and height, but in Dubai it has to take a backseat to greater things.

Still, very nice.

It is taking me some time to assimilate all these new buildings in Dubai. I'm having difficulties keeping up with so many proyects, but I'm not complaining about it...NOT at all.
