Angola launches $6bn agriculture expansion

Angola, one of the world’s fastest-growing economies, has launched an PS:ambitious plan to exploit both its fertile soils and high global food prices to attract $6bn (€4.3bn, £3.4bn) in agriculture investments over the next five years.

As it emerges from one of Africa’s most protracted civil wars, Angola’s abundant oil and diamonds have attracted febrile interest from foreign investors. Yet the talks under way with several private-sector farming giants are subject to a host of obstacles, ranging from clogged ports and red tape to corruption fears and competing claims to land rights.

With arable land of 35m hectares – an area the size of Germany – Angola used to feed its own people as well as satisfy world demand for coffee, sisal, bananas and sugar before the outbreak of a conflict that raged for nearly three decades.

Today it imports more than half its food and only 10 per cent of productive land is cultivated. Keen to diversify the economy away from the oil that has brought rollercoaster expansion since a 2002 peace accord and reduce dependence on foreign food, the government is in the early stages of discussions with leading agriculture investors from Portugal, Brazil, Spain, Canada, the US and Argentina, Joaquím Duarte Gomes, head of planning at the agriculture ministry, told the Financial Times.

“World food prices have jumped,” he said in a recent interview. “Angola can make food for the region and the world.”

Lonrho, the London-listed Africa conglomerate, is seeking finance for a 20,000 ha agriculture project in Angola as part of an “aggressive” strategy to acquire 10 times that area of productive land across the continent, said Dave Lenigas, executive chairman.

Chiquita Brands, the Ohio-based banana giant, arrived in March, confirming a growing trend by western food companies to switch operations to Africa to circumvent European Union tariffs on imports from elsewhere. In August, the Angolan state news agency quoted Beijing’s ambassador to Luanda saying China was considering ways to boost rice production in the southern African country where it has already signed a multi-billion dollar oil-for-infrastructure deal.

Some two-thirds of Angolans eke out a living from the land. But agriculture accounts for only 9 per cent of gross domestic product.

The $6bn target by 2013 – compared with total non-oil foreign direct investment of $924m last year – is ambitious. Business people in Luanda complain of graft and labyrinthine bureaucracy. It takes 119 days to set up a company, according to the World Bank, more than double the regional average.

The agricultural investment drive faces controversy, after a warning from the United Nations of the risk of “neo-colonialism” as food importers scramble to secure farmland overseas. Incidents of forced expropriations in diamond areas highlight the perils of a programme that will seek to secure – for outside investors – vast tracts of land to which the state, tribal leaders and Angolans displaced in the war all claim rights.

PS: I do hope that local Angolan people will take up the main share. Before the war I have read that many Angolan people were well-established farmers, they had agricultural LOCAL ANGOLAN fares, there was no need for foreigners to come and reap the profits, almost alll the farms have become expropriated during socialsm and (industrial) farmers driven away by war and harsh policies...it was all MADE IN ANGOLA!! Hope the government will keep this considered.

Mais de 40 mil famílias recebem inputs agrícolas

Kuito – Pelo menos quarenta e três mil e 423 famílias camponesas do município de Kamacupa, situado a 82 quilómetros a leste do Kuito, província do Bié, irão receber inputs agrícolas, para a próxima campanha agrícola, que arranca este mês nesta região.

O director municipal da Estação de Desenvolvimento Agrária (EDA) no Kamacupa, Leonardo César, em declarações quinta-feira a Angop, frisou que, entre as famílias seleccionadas para beneficiar dos inputs agrícolas, figuram 21 mil núcleos inseridos no Programa de Desenvolvimento Agrário, enquanto outras 22 mil e 423 famílias fazem parte do projecto denominado por "Um fomento agrário".

A entrega comporta, segundo o responsável, a distribuição de 400 toneladas de adubo 12-24-12, 150 toneladas sulfato de amónio, 100 de ureia, 150 de sementes de milho, 50 de arroz, cinco de amendoim e três de feijão-frade (macunde).

Realçou também que constam ainda 20 mil enxadas europeias, cinco mil enxadas tradicionais, uma quantidade não determinada de limas, catanas e machados, assim como gado de tracção animal.

Leonardo César assegurou que a maior parte dos inputs agrícolas já estão concentrados naquela localidade, aguardando apenas pelo início da sua distribuição às famílias seleccionadas.

Disse que as famílias camponesas do município de Kamacupa dedicam-se ao cultivo de milho, feijão, mandioca, arroz, amendoim, batata-rena e doce, entre outros produtos do campo.

Amboim produz 15 mil toneladas de abacaxi por ano

Sumbe - Quinze mil toneladas de abacaxi são anualmente produzidos no município do Amboim , província do Kwanza Sul , por mil famílias camponesas, informou hoje (sexta-feira), na Gabela , o chefe de secção do departamento da agricultura e desenvolvimento rural, Pascoal Miranda.

Em declarações à Angop, o responsável sublinhou que essa produção satisfaz os produtores e desperta a necessidade de realizar investimentos no sector, com vista a industrializar a produção do abacaxi.

"A nossa esperança , no que toca ao alargamento da área de produção, consiste na promoção da industrialização do abacaxi" , afirmou, Pascoal Miranda, acrescentando que isto permitirá criar mais emprego e reduzir a pobreza. elevar para mais de dois mil hectares dos 700 hectares actuais.

A fonte frisou que a produção do abacaxi em grande escala no Amboim iniciou em 1996, com a multiplicação de duas mil e 300 plantas em viveiro.

Em 2003, atingiu-se cinco milhões de plantas numa área de 500 hectares, o que permitiu o fomento do cultivo do abacaxi em outros municípios, como os da Kibala e Cela, através da distribuição à famílias camponesas.

Sumbe - Cerca de 570 mil hectares de terras aráveis estão a ser preparados para o cultivo de milho e feijão na presente campanha agrícola, na comuna de Ganja, município da Conda, na província do Kwanza Sul.

O facto foi anunciado quinta-feira naquela localidade pelo Governador do Kwanza Sul, Serafim do Prado, quando procedia à abertura do ano agrícola 2008/2009.

O Governante fez saber que, para o sucesso da campanha, foram distribuídas 340 toneladas de sementes de milho, 60 toneladas de feijão, 50 toneladas de amendoim, bem como 100 mil enxadas, 70 catanas e 40 animais para tracção.

Dont like the $6 billion plan at all. What you had pre-war was peasant Angolan farmers and increasingly richer white commercial farmers. This will just be the re-establishment of that order.
What you need is medium size Angolan-owned farms, they need to look at Ivory Coast in the 60s.

popa1980, before the war you had droves of local farmers that were Angolan people and that would have contributed with MADE IN ANGOLA products BY ANGOLAN PEOPLE ...your ignorance is just megalonomic when it comes to Angola...it was even better than Ivory Coast in the 60´s. Moreover, Angola produced a much broader variety of food and all kinds of farming products (from cattle to farming...everything ...I read al ot about it and seen so many pictures on the net) it was much better than Ivory Coast ever was because those producst were owned by Angolan people as oppsed to the Ivory Coast were foreigners (mostly Lebanese and French people) owned the plantations.

Take Namibia that country doesn´t has to go begging for capitalist conglomeartes when the work is done by local Namibian farmers.

the 6 bn dollar plan is WHOLLY different, it looks like some FOREIGN non-Angolan companies are taking the profit (on par with what is happening allover Central America where capitalist anglophone (mostly American ) companies are exploiting the soils and people of those countries....all the profits leave the countries back to the States, UK or Spain. That´s my fear that this could happen to Angola too...that´s why I said that they should look at made in Angola prodcuct by ANGOLAN COMAPNIES AND ANGOLAN farmers and keep out those conglomerates that will only suck Angola dry and tranfer all their profits back home. If we keep the hideous injustices out of the system: In SA, Namibia and pre-crisis Zimbabwe, food was made by the locals no need for European or American companies reaping the profits...money stays in either SA, Namibia or Zimbabwe.

Investimento no sector agrícola transforma povoação do Kulango em zona verde

Lobito – Os investimentos que o governo e empresários privados desenvolvem no sector da agricultura estão a transformar a povoação do Kulango, município do Lobito, província de Benguela, numa região verde e mercado de produtos agrícolas.

A região, que localiza-se a 45 quilómetros a Norte da cidade, regista um crescimento rápido de zonas agrícolas com destaque para o surgimento de mais de quinze hectares de bananal, cinco de cana-de-açúcar e outros de batata rena e doce.

Fruto da abundância de produtos como a mandioca, banana, feijão, cana-de-açúcar, pimentos, tomate e outros, a povoação do Kulango transformou-se nos últimos tempos num mercado de destaque, que se encontra ao longo da estrada número 100 Lobito/Luanda.

O administrador da povoação, Luciano Segunda, em declarações à Angop, enalteceu o trabalho de desminagem, feito pelo governo, o que está a permitir desenvolver a agricultura sem risco.

Louvou a iniciativa dos fazendeiros que estão a reactivar os seus terrenos, consequentemente proporcionar emprego para centenas de jovens ali residentes.

Kulango é uma povoação com mais de cinco mil habitantes e possui pequenos vales férteis para o cultivo de todo tipo de cereal.

Mercado angolano ganha novos produtos alimentares

O mercado angolano conta, desde o último final de semana, com 12 novos produtos alimentares, num investimento de 35 milhões de dólares norte-americanos, financiados pela Caixa de Segurança Social das Forças Armadas Angolanas (FAA).

Trata-se de goiabadas, polpa de tomate, doce de pêra, tomate pelado, pêra em calda, refrigentes de laranja, manga, ananás, maracujá, com e sem gás, (da marca "Laranjinha"), assim como o refrigerante "Cola Angola" e a água tónica "cool", todos fabricados no município da Humpata, 22 quilómetros a sudoeste do Lubango.

Falando à imprensa, no acto de lançamento do produto, o director geral da Caixa de Segunrança Social das FAA, general João Luís Neto, disse que este é um projecto que foi concebido pelas Forças Armadas para ampliar e diversificar a dieta alimentar dos militares e foi escolhido o município da Humpata para implementá-lo.

O general lembrou que o projecto iniciou com a abertura da fazenda "Nossa Terra", em 2005, com 320 hectares, onde estão plantadas mais de 249 mil laranjeiras, tendo-se sentido a necessidade de se absorver a produção local.

O oficial superior das FAA frisou que os resultados satisfazem plenamente os investimentos feitos, garantindo que dentro de quatro ou cinco anos o valor aplicado será reembolsado, para que futuramente se possa colher lucros.

Adiantou que, numa primeira fase, a produção da fábrica será dirigida as Forças Armadas e, se o mercado exigir, também servirá à população.

Já o administrador do grupo "A Nossa Terra Agro-industrial - Sociedade Anónima", Evaristo Macedo, anunciou que uma outra fazenda de 140 hectares está a ser preparada desde Abril deste ano na localidade de Tchangarala, município da Humpata.

Avançou, por outro lado, que no primeiro trimestre de 2009 será inaugurada uma outra fábrica de concentrado de tomate, com objectivo de absorver a produção dos agricultores da Huíla e Namibe.

Associação de jovens empresários prevê ultrapassar resultados da época agrícola 2007/08

Bailundo - O núcleo dinamizador da Associação dos Jovens Empresários do município do Bailundo, província do Huambo, prevê durante a época agrícola 2008/09 ultrapassar os resultados da colheita obtida em 2007/08, disse hoje o seu presidente, Jonas Ngambole Saúndia.

Em declarações à Angop, o responsável referiu que na época agrícola 2007/08, a fazenda da Associação de Jovens Empresários do Bailundo produziu seis toneladas de milho, uma de feijão e 16 de amendoim, quantidades que poderão ser triplicadas com a entrada em funcionamento de dois tractores, oferecidas pelo Ministério da Agricultura.

Jonas Saúndi, que não precisou os hectares de terra preparados, salientou que a associação recebeu da agência de desenvolvimento da província Microform-II, da direcção provincial da agricultura e da administração local, quantidades não especificadas de sementes de hortícolas, juntas de bois para tracção animal, fertilizantes e outros meios agrícolas.

Criada em 2005, a Associação de Jovens Empresários do município do Bailundo desenvolve actividades que visam a formação nos domínios empresarial, com destaque para o comércio e a agricultura.

Kuito – quatrocentos hectares terra começaram a ser desbravados no município de Kamacupa, 82 quilómetros a leste do Kuito, província do Bié, pela Empresa Nacional de Mecanização Agrícola (Mecanagro), soube a Angop.

De acordo com o director da Estação de Desenvolvimento Agrário (EDA) no município de Kamacupa, Leonardo César, que falava à Angop, a preparação de terra decorre a “bom ritmo”, sem no entanto revelar o número de tractores que envolve actividade.

Leonardo César disse que para o êxito da campanha agrícola 2008/2009, a Mecanagro vai distribuir, em breve, aos camponeses agrupados e isolados daquela localidade 400 toneladas de adubo do tipo 12-24-12, 150 toneladas sulfato de amónio e 100 toneladas de ureia.

Serão ainda distribuídas, segundo o responsável, 150 toneladas de sementes de milho, 50 toneladas de arroz, cinco toneladas de amendoim e três de feijão-frade, 20 mil enxadas europeias, cinco mil enxadas tradicionais, uma quantidade não determinada de limas, catanas e machados, assim como gado de tracção animal.

O responsável informou que a campanha poderá abranger naquela circunscrição 43 mil e 423 famílias camponesas, dos quais 21 mil estão inseridas no Programa de Desenvolvimento Agrário, enquanto 22 mil e 423 estão enquadrados no projecto "Fomento Agrário".

Os camponeses do município de Kamacupa dedicam-se ao cultivo de milho, feijão, mandioca arroz, amendoim, batata rena e doce, assim como hortícolas diversas.

Perímetro irrigado da Matala prevê colher mais de três mil toneladas de batata rena

Matala - Mais de três mil toneladas de batata-rena serão colhidas, a partir de Janeiro do 2009, no perímetro irrigado da Matala, província da Huíla, soube hoje a Angop.

Segundo o director da Estação de Desenvolvimento Agrário local, Lucas Félix, pelo menos 187.2 hectares já receberam as sementes, prevendo-se colher 18 toneladas por hectar, perfazendo um total de 3. 369. 06 toneladas do produto.

O responsável adiantou que em Agosto foram colhidas, a nível daquele perímetro, 248. 808 toneladas de batata rena em apenas 44 hectares de terra.

Lucas Félix informou que a batata colhida já foi encaminhada para Luanda, pela empresa Frescangol.

O canal de irrigação da Matala, com 42 quilómetros, tem uma área de 164 hectares, onde estão desde 2005 a ser cultivados cereais, hortícolas e tubérculos.

Luena – A directora provincial da família e promoção da mulher (Minfamu) do Moxico, Quintas Camiji Pinto, exortou, quarta-feira, as Mulheres Rurais a envolverem-se em programas que visam o fomento da produção agrícola interna.

A responsável, que falava na comuna de Lucusse (Moxico), no acto das comemorações do Dia Mundial da Mulher Rural, assinalado quarta-feira, disse a participação das mulheres nas actividades agrícolas vai contribuir no combate à fome e pobreza que afecta a população na região.

Garantiu que o governo vai apoiar as actividades agrícolas, pesca artesanal e não só, através da Direcção Provincial da Agricultura e Desenvolvimento Rural, por constituírem o factor decisivo no combate à fome e pobreza e de desenvolvimento da província.

No acto, realizado sob o lema “Mulher Rural garante da segurança alimentar nutricional”, a directora do Minfamu esclareceu também a estratégia do governo que visa a estabilização da segurança alimentar das famílias angolanas.

Ao considerar a mulher rural como uma pessoa com grandes responsabilidades na economia familiar, reconheceu que “sem ela será difícil o fomento da produção agrícola a nível das comunidades”.

Assim, para uma melhor prestação no exercício da sua actividade, apelou as mulheres da circunscrição para aderirem às aulas de alfabetização e levarem sempre as crianças à vacina.

Para ela, uma pessoa culta e com a família saudável alcança maiores rendimentos no processo produtivo.

Na ocasião, a União Nacional dos Camponeses Angolanos (UNACA) fez a entrega de sementes agrícolas, enxadas e catanas às camponesas que estiveram presentes no acto público.

Por seu turno, o administrador comunal do Lucusse, João Caiombo, agradeceu o gesto e prometeu encorajar a camada feminina da área de sua jurisdição a envolver-se em massa nas actividades da presente campanha agrícola.

Ministro garante mais investimentos para produção de alimentos

Luanda – O ministro da Agricultura, Afonso Pedro Canga, garantiu hoje (quinta-feira), em Luanda, que no âmbito do Plano Nacional e do Programa do Governo, o investimento público para o sector agrário aumentará de forma significativa, em relação aos últimos anos, visando combater a fome e a pobreza no meio rural.

Falando na abertura das jornadas técnico-científicas alusivas ao Dia Mundial da Alimentação, que hoje se assinala, o governante justificou que a medida se deve ao facto do combate à fome e à pobreza ser visto pelo Governo como uma das prioridades do seu programa de governação.

Segundo o também coordenador do Comité Nacional Tele-Alimento (órgão responsável pela campanha Tele-Food), em função dos desafios que o combate à fome e à pobreza impõe, o Estado irá igualmente duplicar o investimento de outros sectores produtores de
alimentos.

De acordo com Pedro Canga, o incremento dos investimentos públicos na agricultura e em outros sectores permitirá o aumento das infra-estruturas produtivas, o relançamento da investigação científica, da extensão rural, assim como a formação e a aplicação de medidas de protecção do ambiente.

Realçou também que o sector público dará maior apoio técnico e material a agricultura familiar e aos agentes de outras actividades geradoras de renda, de médio a satisfazer as necessidades das famílias e possibilitar a sua integração no mercado.

Indicou ainda que a agricultura de média e grande dimensão será incentivada, de modo a concretizar as metas constantes no programa do Governo, reduzir os défices, e aumentar a disponibilidade de alimentos no mercado, criar excedentes exportáveis e atingir-se a auto-suficiência alimentar.

Sobre a situação alimentar mundial, Afonso Canga afirmou que o mundo continua a enfrentar sérios desafios na garantia de uma alimentação segura a milhões de pessoas e na procura de outras fontes de energia menos poluentes, bem como na manutenção do equilíbrio dos ecossistemas e na preservação do ambiente.

“As mudanças climáticas estão a afectar de forma significativa, e as vezes de modo irreversível, a produção de alimentos devido à degradação dos solos, a ocorrência frequente de cheias, inundações e o desaparecimento de grandes extensões de florestas”,
elucidou.

Esses fenómenos, salientou, remetem milhões de pessoas a situação de insegurança alimentar principalmente em países em vias de desenvolvimento, pelo que “perante este quadro a comunidade internacional e os governos procuram tomar medidas concretas com vista a reduzir os efeitos da crise e redefinir as políticas e estratégias, para que os objectivos do milénio, que consiste na redução para metade do número de mal nutridos no mundo, estimados em 800 milhões, possam ser alcançados até 2015”, disse.

A campanha Tele-Alimento decorre este ano sob o lema “A Segurança Alimentar Mundial: Os desafios da Mudança Climática e Bioenergia”, com a realização de debates sobre “As implicações das Mudanças Climáticas na Produção Alimentar”, “O Papel da Agricultura Irrigada na Segurança Alimentar” e “Os Bio-Combustíveis e a Segurança Alimentar”.

Mulheres camponesas defendem dinamização da agricultura familiar

Huambo - Algumas mulheres camponesas da comuna de Chipipa, na província do Huambo, defenderam quarta-feira, naquela localidade, a realização de um maior investimento na agricultura familiar e na reabilitação de infra-estruturas de conservação dos produtos agrícolas, por forma a criar reservas alimentar nas comunidades.

Em declarações à Angop a margem do acto provincial alusivo ao Dia da Mulher Rural, assinalado 15 de Outubro, as mulheres foram unânimes em afirmar que vários aspectos da vida social das famílias rurais melhoraram, mas a luta contra a pobreza passa necessariamente pelo apoio em inputs agrícolas para as comunidades camponesas.

Organizado pela direcção da família e promoção da mulher no Huambo, o acto comemorativo do dia da mulher rural serviu para confraternização e ofertas, na ocasião as camponesas receberam enxadas, catanas e panos.

Marcado com música e dança tradicional, o encontro serviu também para chamar a atenção dos presentes sobre a necessidade de se prestar maior atenção ao desenvolvimento das comunidades rurais e ao aumento da produção agrícola, em particular.

A directora local da Família e Promoção da Mulher, Maria do Rosário Amadeu, alertou a camada feminina rural sobre a necessidade de evitar os conflitos familiares e consequentemente a violência doméstica.

Aquela responsável pediu maior dedicação das mulheres as aulas de alfabetização, nas palestras sobre higiene/saúde e na produção de alimentos.

"O governo vai continuar a investir nos programas de alfabetização, produção agrícola e saúde, no quadro da luta contra a pobreza, para tal, as mulheres devem estar preparadas para responder as exigências destes programas", disse.

Considerou haver melhorias na situação socioeconómica da mulher rural, "com a paz alcançada há mais de seis anos. Este clima de estabilidade está a proporcionar a mulher maior abertura para a concretização dos seus objectivos”.

Quanto ao meio rural, disse, a mulher carece ainda de algumas condições básicas, prática uma agricultura de subsistência, enfrenta uma insuficiência em meios de trabalho, além de encontrar infra-estruturas sanitárias deficientes.

Frisou que no domínio do poder tradicional vários direitos da mulher são atropelados, daí a necessidade de rever alguns hábitos e costumes.

O vice-presidente da Unaca no Huambo, Abílio Ukuassapi, considera positivo o contributo da mulher rural na produção de alimentos.

No quadro das actividades alusivas a jornada da mulher rural que decorre de 01 a 31 desde mês (Outubro), a direcção da família e promoção da mulher realizou o 5º fórum provincial da mulher rural que, entre outros assuntos recomendou o aumento das áreas de cultivo, o reforço do micro-crédito e diversificação das culturas.

Itália vai doar nove milhões de dólares para o sector social e agrícola

Luanda – O embaixador italiano em Angola, Torquato Cardilli, garantiu quinta-feira, em Luanda, que o seu país vai doar, a partir do inicio do próximo ano, meios e equipamentos avaliados em nove milhões de dólares para os sectores da saúde, agricultura e saneamento básico.

A informação foi avançada durante uma conferência de imprensa, que serviu para divulgar as actividades da VIII Semana da Língua e Cultura Italiana no Mundo, que vai decorrer em Luanda, de 21 a 26 de Outubro, sob o lema “O italiano na praça”.

Segundo o diplomata, o ramo da saúde será beneficiado com equipamento e instrumentos de laboratórios de análises clínicas, enquanto que para a área de saneamento básico o governo italiano vai fornecer camiões de limpeza e recolha de lixo, para operarem na cidade de Luanda.

Na área da agricultura, prosseguiu o embaixador, a doação será canalizada para o ramo da zootecnia, com vista a garantir maior desenvolvimento deste sector, vocacionado para o estudo, controlo da reprodução, aprimoramento genético e nutrição de animais criados com fins comerciais.

Nos últimos dez anos, o governo italiano aplicou em Angola 250 milhões de dólares em diferentes áreas de desenvolvimento, como educação, saúde, formação profissional e desminagem.

Governo procura melhoria das condições das populações rurais

Kuito – A secretária do Estado para o Desenvolvimento Rural, Filomena Delgado, reafirmou quinta-feira na comuna do Ringoma, município de Kamacupa, que o Governo Central está a trabalhar para melhorar as condições sociais das populações que vivem nas áreas rurais.

A governante prestou estas declarações no acto que marcou as comemorações dos dias mundiais da Alimentação, assinalado
quinta-feira e, da Mulher Rural comemorado quarta-feira.

Filomena Delgado disse que o executivo angolano está preocupado com a melhoria das condições sociais das famílias de baixa renda e fundamentalmente para as que residem nas áreas rurais.

Realçou a elaboração de várias acções que visam a mudança da situação social dos mesmos, sobretudo no combate à fome e miséria no seio das comunidades nos próximos tempos.

Estas acções, segundo ela, consistem em desenvolver projectos ligados aos programas da produção agrícola, assistência sanitária, ensino escolar, fornecimento de energia e água, actividades desportivas, entre outras.

“Anos atrás quando visitamos pela primeira a vez a comuna do Ringoma, as populações apresentavam um rosto bastante triste caracterizado com a pobreza acentuada, mais com a implementação de alguns programas de impacto social gizados pelo Governo, hoje o cenário já é diferente”, sublinhou.

Afirmou ainda que a situação social das famílias rurais poderá ainda melhorar cada vez mais, pelo facto do Presidente da Republica, José Eduardo dos Santos, ter criado recentemente no novo Governo, a Secretaria do Estado para o Desenvolvimento Rural para traçar políticas destas comunidades.

Neste momento, segundo Filomena Delgado, o programa de desenvolvimento rural está a abranger duas comunas do município de Kamacupa, nomeadamente Ringoma e Umpulo, e prevê-se estender nos próximos tempos a outras municipalidades.

Aleixo Candambo, administrador municipal de Kamacupa, enalteceu a iniciativa do governo pela implementação do programa de desenvolvimento rural que, de acordo com ele, paulatinamente está a mudar as condições das populações daquela localidade.
