Luanda expõe produtos agro-pecuários e de pesca

Luanda - A sétima edição da Feira Agro-Pecuária e Pescas, promovida pela Direcção Provincial das Pescas e Agricultura de Luanda, está a decorrer desde a manhã de hoje, sábado, em Luanda, no Largo da Independência, com vista a promover os produtos nacionais.

Segundo constatou a Angop, estão presentes mais de cinquenta feirantes expondo vários produtos nacionais agrícolas, nomeadamente legumes, hortaliças, tubérculos, raizes e frutas.

Estão igualmente expostos matériais e equipamentos agrícolas, bem como agro-toxicos, e no ramo das pescas, diversos produtos da fauna marinha angolana como peixes e mariscos.

No que concerne a preços, os produtos agrícolas variam entre 200 a 1000 kwanzas, e os mariscos e peixes entre 500 a 1500,
respectivamente.

Dentre os expositores, participam vendedores de alguns mercados da capital, nomeadamente do Roque Santeiro, São Paulo, Congolenses e pescadores do município da Samba (Mabunda).

Compradores e visitantes da capital afluem ao local para apreciarem e adquirirem os bens expostos na Feira Agro-Pecuária e Pescas.

A Feira Agro-Pecuária e Pescas conta também com a participação de empresas nacionais.

Luanda exposes agro-livestock and fisheries

Luanda - The seventh edition of the Fair Agri-Livestock and Fisheries, promoted by the Provincial Directorate of Fisheries and Agriculture of Luanda, is taking place since the morning, Saturday, in Luanda, at the Square of Independence, to promote national products .

Mais de 34 mil famílias camponesas recebem sementes agrícolas no Quipungo

Quipungo - Mais de 34 mil famílias camponesas congregadas em associações agrícolas no município de Quipungo (Huíla) receberam sábado pelo menos 100 toneladas de sementes e alguns instrumentos agrícolas, para o reforço da capacidade de intervenção na presente campanha agrícola, no âmbito do Programa de Extensão e Desenvolvimento Rural.

Dos meios entregues pela Estação de Desenvolvimento Agrário local (EDA) constam 70 toneladas de sementes de milho, 12 mil catanas, 20 mil enxadas europeias, 7,5 mil limas, 516 charruas de tracção animal e mil machados.

Segundo o responsável pela EDA local, João Canonguembia foram ainda entregues as associações de camponeses 12 toneladas de "feijão macunde", 15 toneladas de massango e seis toneladas de amendoim.

Durante o acto, os camponeses beneficiaram ainda de outras 200 toneladas de fertilizantes, de entre adubos e sulfato de amónio.

Quanto às áreas planificadas para o cultivo, João Canonguembia disse que 22 mil e 436 hectares estão destinados para o milho, nove mil e 801 para massango, dois mil e 780 para massambala, 631 de feijão, 340 para amendoim, 25 de mandioca, 30 de batata doce e 12 para hortícolas.

Trinta e quatro mil e 298 camponeses estão enjagados na presente campanha agrícola, no âmbito do Programa de Extensão e Desenvolvimento Rural.

Agricultura entrega mais de 290 mil instrumentos de cultivo em três meses

Ndalatando - O sector da Agricultura e do Desenvolvimento Rural na província do Kwanza Norte entregou, de Agosto a Outubro deste ano, 290 mil e 472 instrumentos de cultivo diverso para 68 mil e 155 famílias camponesas engajadas na produção de alimentos, no quadro da campanha 2008/2009 em curso no país.

Segundo o director provincial da Agricultura, Humberto Mesquita, que falava na abertura do ano agrícola 2008/2009 a nível do Kwanza Norte, que decorreu no município de Ambaca, os camponeses receberam, entre outros instrumentos, 137 mil e 236 enxadas, 68 mil e 618 limas, igual quantidade de catanas, 250 semeadores manuais, oito mil e 500 machados, cinco moto-bombas e sete mil pás.

Relativamente às sementes, Humberto Mesquita disse terem sido entregues 48 mil e 618 toneladas de gérmen de milho, 18 mil e 664 de amendoim, 250 mil hastes de mandioca, além de produtos de combate a pragas, como pesticida e fungicida.

Humberto Mesquita informou que o Ministério da Agricultura prevê que este ano a província do Kwanza Norte supere a produção média de 540 mil toneladas de mandioca, quatro mil e 730 de milho, três mil e 153 de feijão, mil e 266 de amendoim, mil e 261 de batata doce, mil e 50 de banana, 31 mil e 530 de feijão frade e três mil e 427 toneladas de hortícolas, quantidades colhidas no período de 2007/2008.

Presente ao acto, o director local do Instituto de Desenvolvimento Agrário local (IDA), Paulo Bungo, disse que para a campanha agrária 2008/2009 o instituto está a preparar para posterior distribuição aos camponeses 82 mil hectares de terra.

A cerimónia de abertura decorreu na localidade de Cahima, comuna de Luínga, a cerca de 195 quilómetros a norte de Ndalatando, e foi orientada pelo governador provincial, Henrique André Júnior.

Coordenadora da AAA satisfeita com resultados do projecto segurança alimentar

Huambo – A coordenadora de projectos da organização não governamental Acção Agrária Alemã em Angola e Moçambique, Úrsula Langkamp, manifestou-se hoje (terça-feira), na localidade de Longonjo, a sua satisfação pelo êxito na implementação dos programas tendentes à segurança alimentar nas províncias do Huambo, Benguela e Bengo.

Falando no final de uma visita em Longonjo ao projecto de combate à doença de “Newcastle” nas aves domésticas, o responsável sublinhou que o mesmo está a corresponder com os objectivos, consubstanciados na redução da pobreza e melhorar os hábitos alimentares dos camponeses.

No Bengo, segundo a fonte, tem sido dada maior atenção à conservação do solo, combatendo a erosão por um lado e, por outro, tem sido possível diversificar as culturas.

"Visitei o Bengo e Benguela. Na primeira província verifiquei com agrado que os camponeses de referência estão a aplicar bem as técnicas ensinadas e os resultados da produtividade são bons", frisou.

Em Benguela, a coordenadora visitou os dois projectos integrados de segurança alimentar que, além do enfoque agrícola, estão também vocacionados à reabilitação de infra-estruturas sanitárias e escolares.

Úrsula Langkamp afirmou que os projectos da Acção Agrária Alemã estão também virados a construção de pontes e a reabilitação das vias terciárias que facilitam a circulação dos camponeses das aldeias para os municípios e vice-versa.

Informou que, em algumas aldeias, os projectos incentivam a instalação de moagens para facilitar o trabalho das mulheres na transformação do milho em farinha e a construção de armazéns colectivos e cantinas.

Disse que para a organização Alemã o mais importante não é a distribuição de meios materiais, mas influenciar na mudança de comportamento da comunidade.

"Para nós distribuir gado bovino, caprino, apoiar na construção de escolas e hospitais é um objectivo, mas o principal é incentivar a auto-organização das comunidades para que elas próprias alcancem o seu desenvolvimento".

No sector do Bongo, a coordenadora participou hoje de um encontro com os criadores de aves das várias aldeias da comuna do Lepi, dos quais ouvi agradecimentos pela implementação do projecto de combate ao doença que causa a morte à maioria das galinhas e para além de ser informada de algumas dificuldades que os camponeses enfrentam.

O projecto de combate à doença de Newcastle com sede no sector do Bongo, município de Longonjo iniciou em 2007 e estendeu-se para Benguela com o propósito de reduzir a pobreza junto das comunidades rurais, já vacinou mais de 14 mil galinhas das famílias camponesas e deu emprego para cerca de 30 jovens.

Província conta com 46 mil hectares para campanha agrícola

Cabinda – Pelo menos 46 mil hectares de terra serão preparados para o cultivo de produtos agrícolas na província de Cabinda, visando a campanha 2008/2009, aberta oficialmente no dia 25 deste mês, segundo previsões do director provincial da agricultura e do desenvolvimento rural, pesca e ambiente, Aléctor Ara.

Em declarações hoje (quarta-feira) à Angop, o responsável da agricultura disse que Do total de espaço a cultivar, 16 mil e 297 hectares estarão reservados para o cultivo da mandioca, 11 mil e 930 hectares para plantação de banana e oito mil e 257 hectares para o amendoim.

A campanha agrícola contará com o concurso de 34 mil famílias camponesas, sendo 18 mil e 902 no município de Cabinda, cinco mil e 693 Cacongo, sete mil e 54 Buco Zau e dois mil e 645 no município de Belize, sob supervisão de técnicos da Estação de Desenvolvimento Agrário (EDA).

Em apoio à campanha, a província tem disponíveis cerca de 40 toneladas de sementes de milho, 25 toneladas de “feijão Catarina”, 25 toneladas “feijão manteiga” e 10 toneladas de amendoim, a serem distribuídas aos camponeses envolvidos na campanha agrícola.

Serão ainda entregues 30 mil enxadas europeias, 15 mil enxadas tradicionais, 10 mil catanas, 250 semeadores, e adubadores manuais e 20 mil machados, além de um número indeterminado de motobombas, moto-serras.

O director provincial da Agricultura disse também estarem disponíveis 100 toneladas de adubo composto, 50 toneladas de amónio, quantidade suficiente para uma campanha agrícola.

Para o sector empresarial, foram adquiridas 20 estufas agrícolas que já se encontram na província, visando a produção ininterrupta de hortaliça em regime protegido face as altas temperaturas e a elevada pluviosidade características da região, incompatíveis com a horticultura.

O vice-governador para a área social, Feliciano Lopes Toco, que presidiu o acto da abertura oficial da campanha agrícola, enalteceu o papel estratégico do sector agrícola no quadro do programa do Governo do combate à fome e à pobreza.

Durante o acto, decorrido na zona agrícola do Yabi, 53 famílias dos ex-militares da Flec foram contempladas com 25 hectares de terra preparados para o cultivo, no âmbito do programa do Governo de reinserção dos desmobilizados de guerra e seus dependentes.

Cabinda – Cento e quinze toneladas de café foram colhidas na presente campanha, na província de Cabinda, informou hoje (quarta-feira) o chefe de departamento do café na região, João Tati Luemba.

Em declarações à Angop, o responsável disse que o município de Buco Zau e a comuna do Tando Zinze foram as regiões que mais produziram durante a campanha do ano em curso.

Segundo João Tati Luemba, o sector agrícola previa colher 120 toneladas, mas devido a várias dificuldades não foi possível atingir essa meta.

Disse ainda que 147 famílias produtoras do café receberam micro-crédito, disponibilizado pelo Instituto Nacional do Café (INCA), para o fomento da produção desta cultura na região.

Os valores disponibilizados pelo INCA variam de 100 a 900 dólares norte-americanos.

Luanda conta com mais uma cooperativa agro-pecuária

Luanda – A Federação das Associações de Camponeses e Cooperativas Agro-Pecuárias de Luanda constituiu há dias mais uma cooperativa, elevando para 23 o seu número de agremiações do género na capital do país, anunciou hoje (sexta-feira) o presidente da organização, Pereira Simões Fernando.

Em declarações à Angop, o responsável referiu que a mais recente cooperativa agrícola, criada a 24 do corrente mês no município de Viana, conta com 200 cooperativistas e uma área cultivável de pelo menos 60 hectares.

Segundo Pereira Fernando, a nova cooperativa agro-pecuária de Viana permitirá a obtenção de vários meios como tractores, alfaias, gado de tracção animal, catanas, enxadas, foices, sementes e fertilizantes para os associados, o aumento das áreas de cultivo e a organização de agricultores familiares que trabalhavam individualmente.

Sobre o programa de actividade da Federação de Luanda, o líder associativo salientou que constam das prioridades a organização dos camponeses em cooperativas agrícolas e associações, a diversificação da produção, a melhoria da qualidade das culturas e a aquisição de mais instrumentos de trabalho e insumos para os filiados.

A Federação das Associações de Camponeses e Cooperativas Agro-Pecuárias de Luanda é constituída por 23 cooperativas agrícolas e 37 associações de camponeses, localizados nos municípios de Viana, Kilamba Kiaxi, Cacuaco e Samba.

Sindicato defende mecanismos para a auto-sustentabilidade

Ndalatando – A segunda conferência do Sindicato dos Trabalhadores da Agro-pecuária, Pescas, Café e Florestas do Kwanza-Norte, decorrida em Ndalatando, recomendou à União dos Sindicatos (US) a encontrar mecanismos que permitam aos sindicatos locais o desenvolvimento de projectos para o seu auto financiamento.

A recomendação vem expressa num comunicado saído do encontro de balanço e renovação de mandatos realizado sábado nesta cidade, em que os participantes advogaram ainda a introdução de técnicas científicas de gestão administrativa do sindicato e do respectivo património, com vista a tirá-lo do estado de letargia.

A adopção de medidas para o ajustamento dos salários dos dirigentes e funcionários sindicais, visando estimular e dignificar o seu trabalho constam também entre as recomendações saídas do evento.

Orientado pelo secretário-geral cessante do sindicato, José Fernandes Matias, que foi reconduzido ao cargo para mais quatro anos, o encontro discutiu e aprovou o relatório das actividades desenvolvidas no quadriénio 2004/2008, tendo igualmente perspectivado as realizações para os quatros anos seguintes.

Na sessão, em que participaram 57 delegados eleitos nas comissões sindicais dos centros de trabalho, elegeu-se um novo conselho directivo constituído por 27 membros e um secretariado executivo de cinco, para o mandato que inicia com a realização da conferência.

José Matias realçou, no encerramento, a necessidade de se incrementar o movimento sindical na província, visando o seu crescimento, no sentido de garantir a unidade e o fortalecimento da classe trabalhadora.

Ondjiva - O governador da província do Cunene, António Didalelwa, considerou neste sábado, em Ondjiva, que o desenvolvimento e a expansão da agricultura constitui uma das prioridades do governo local, sendo um factor impulsionador no combate à fome e à redução da pobreza.

O governante teceu estas considerações durante uma visita as instalações da União Nacional das Associações de Camponeses Angolanos (UNACA), no Cunene, onde referiu que este sector torna-se num grande catalisador no progresso do país e em particular na região, revestindo-se no bem-estar dos cidadãos.

É necessário redobrar o apoio desde técnico e financeiro aos pequenos agricultores e camponeses, contribuindo assim para o fomento agro-pecuário da região, para que o produto do campo chegue a cidade com qualidade e quantidade", sublinhou o dirigente.

António Didalelwa avançou que é com este espírito que se deslocou ao local para avaliar e constatar as reais dificuldades e necessidades, na intenção de mudar o quadro e garantir o devido apoio institucional.

A par disso, o novo governador da província do Cunene visitou ainda o Núcleo de Apoios aos Deputados, o Centro Comunitário de Internet, o Instituto Nacional de Segurança Social (INSS), o Centro de Tratamento de Água e o Instituto Médio Politécnico de Ondjiva (IMPO).

A sua agenda para os próximos dias inclui visitas as obras de ampliação da Aerogare local, agência de escala da Taag, Biblioteca provincial, Comissão local de Protecção Civil, Comando da Zona Militar Cunene e ao Instituto de Estradas de Angola (INEA).

António Didalelwa, que recebeu formalmente a pasta sábado último na cidade de Ondjiva, apontou como prioridade do seu governo a melhoria dos sectores da educação, saúde, habitação, a redução da pobreza, erradicação do analfabetismo, entre outros.

Mais de 3 mil famílias engajadas na produção na Banga

Banga - Três mil e 800 famílias camponesas do município da Banga, Kwanza Norte, estão enquadradas na produção agrícola 2008/2009, aberta a 25 de Outubro último, na província.

Segundo o responsável da Estação de Desenvolvimento Agrário (EDA) da Banga, José Zumba Bambi, as famílias em causa estão a beneficiar de 235 hectares de terras preparados pela Empresa de Mecanização Agrícola (Mecanagro), para cultivos.

Garantiu que aquelas famílias organizadas em cooperativas e associações de camponeses esperam ainda receber outros 400 hectares de terrenos cultiváveis, a serem preparados pela empresa "Mecangol", em diferentes localidades do município.

Para potenciar os camponeses em instrumentos de trabalho e em sementes, o município recebeu da direcção provincial do Kwanza Norte da Agricultura e do Desenvolvimento Rural três mil e 942 catanas, enxadas e limas, bem como três mil e 142 kilogramas de sementes de milho e de amendoin, entre outros produtos.

José Zumba Bambi qualificou o apoio técnico recebido pelo município para este ano agrícola como inédito, tendo assinalado que com esta assistência a municipalidade poderá obter os melhores rendimentos agrícolas de todos os tempos. Manifestou, no entanto, o desejo de ver reforçadas as quantidades de sementes até agora recebidas.

Refira-se que para a campanha agrícola 2008/2009 estão a ser preparados e distribuidos aos camponeses, em toda a província do Kwanza Norte, 82 mil hectares de terras, dos quais 5 mil mecanizados.

Até ao dia 25 de Outubro último haviam também sido entregues aos camponeses, em toda a província, 290 mil 472 instrumentos de trabalho diversos, de que foram beneficiárias 68 mil 155 famílias engajadas na produção.

Em declarações hoje à Angop, alguns camponeses organizados em associações agrícolas mostraram-se satisfeitos com os "inputs" recebidos da Direcção Provincial da Agricultura e do Desenvolvimento Rural, para assegurar a presente campanha agrícola.

Para a camponesa Isabel Nsimba, o apoio recebido aliado as chuvas regulares vão proporcionar uma óptima colheita de cereais e tubérculos, como ginguba, milho, batata-doce e estacas de mandioqueira.

Segundo Pedro Lusevikueno, também agricultor, a presente época agrícola, a nível do município sede, poderá superar a anterior em termos da safra, tendo em conta a regularidade das chuvas e a quantidade de sementes lançadas à terra.

Para a campanha agrícola foram desbravados pela empresa de mecanização agrícola (Mecanagro) três mil hectares de terra arável.

A província do Zaire recebeu do Ministério da Agricultura, para a presente campanha, 114 toneladas de sementes diversas e seis mil kits de trabalho, com destaque para enxadas europeias e tradicionais, catanas, limas, pás, moto-bombas, pulverizadores, balanças,
moinhos e fertilizantes.

Nesta campanha, quatro mil e 523 famílias camponesas organizadas em cooperativas agrícolas estarão envolvidas no cultivo de milho, mandioca, batata-doce, banana, gergelim e feijão.

Mais de 48 mil toneladas de produtos serão produzidos nas Ganjelas

Lubango - Quarenta e oito mil e 150 toneladas de produtos agrícolas diversos serão produzidos anualmente no perímetro irrigado das Barragem das Ganjelas, situado no município da Chibia, 45 quilómetros a sul do Lubango, província da Huíla.

O facto foi hoje anunciado à Angop, no Lubango, pelo Presidente do Conselho de Administração da "Soganjelas", Guerra Pedro. A fonte adiantou que o projecto prevê uma produção anual de duas mil e 188 toneladas de cereais, das quais mil e 103 de milho, 664 de massambala e massango e 421 de feijão.

Guerra Pedro referiu que espera-se colher igualmente 20 mil e 783 toneladas/ano de hortícolas, sendo 11 mil e 700 de tomate, três mil e 200 de repolho, duas mil e 783 de abóbora, duas mil e 503 de cenoura e outras quantidades não reveladas de batata rena e doce.

Avançou que serão ainda produzidas 25 mil e 180 toneladas de frutas diversas, com destaque para sete mil de banana, quatro mil e 460 de laranja, três mil e 200 de Manga, duas mil e 400 abacaxi, duas mil e 60 de tangerina e mil e 260 de maracujá.

Actualmente, assegurou, estão em preparação 460 hectares da área piloto, equipados com um sistema de regadio por aspersão, que deverão começar a produzir de forma experimental, no próximo ano.

O Perímetro irrigado das Ganjelas possui uma área bruta de dois mil e 271 hectares, sendo a superfície agricultáveis de mil e 525 hectares, cujos lotes serão divididos em parcelas de dois, cinco e 25 hectares.

As obras de reabilitação das Ganjelas e seus dois canais iniciaram em 2005 e devem terminar ainda este ano, com o enchimento da albufeira, num orçamento de 28 milhões de dólares. A obra está a cargo da empreiteira chinesa Synohidro.

Agricultura vai crescer mais de 20 porcento em 2009

Luanda – O sector agrícola deverá crescer, em 2009, mais de 20 porcento, devido os investimentos realizados pelo Governo na criação e modernização das infra-estruturas de apoio à agricultura, anunciou hoje (sexta-feira), em Luanda, a ministra do Planeamento, Ana Dias Lourenço.

“A meta que prevemos é de dois dígitos, portanto acima dos 20 porcento. O Governo apostou na criação e modernização das infra-estruturas de apoio ao sector agrícola”, referiu Ana Dias Lourenço, em entrevista à Angop, após a apresentação do Orçamento Geral do Estado (OGE) e do Plano Nacional para 2009, na Assembleia Nacional.

O Plano Nacional do Governo hoje apresentado aos deputados define como um dos objectivos, a garantia da segurança alimentar, cuja efectivação deverá passar, igualmente, por investimentos nas pescas e na indústria, segundo a ministra.

Ainda no sector da agricultura, Ana Dias Lourenço citou os investimentos na reconstrução de perímetros irrigados e nos centros de investigação, como importantes acções para o aumento do rendimento das culturas e melhoria da qualidade das sementes.

Relativamente ao crescimento do Produto Interno Bruto (PIB), a ministra do Planeamento reafirmou a execução de tarefas, no âmbito do programa de reconstrução das infra-estruturas e do relançamento da actividade económica interna, com o objectivo de reduzirem a dependência do sector petrolífero.

Nesse sentido, o Plano Governo preconiza um crescimento do PIB em 11,8, suportado pelo sector não petrolífero, previsto em 15,98 porcento, decorrente da dinâmica dos sectores da construção civil, indústria, agricultura, comércio e serviços, particularmente no sector financeiro.

A ministra Ana Dias Lourenço sublinhou a aposta do Executivo no relançamento da produção económica interna, tendo em vista um crescimento e desenvolvimento sustentável.

Com a implementação do OGE e do Plano Nacional, o Governo pretende criar 320 mil novos postos de trabalho directos e indirectos, principalmente, com a criação de novas indústrias (zonas económicas especiais) e disseminação de actividades que geram empregos.

“Esse número (320 mil) resulta do nível de investimento que o Governo está a realizar, fundamentalmente, no sector da construção civil e na criação de novas indústrias”, explicou a ministra.

O Conselho de Ministros aprovou recentemente a proposta de Lei do OGE para 2009, com receitas estimadas em três triliões, 176 biliões, 126 milhões e 801 kwanzas e despesas fixadas em igual montante para o mesmo período.

A distribuição funcional do OGE reserva 34, 6 porcento da despesa total ao sector social (educação e saúde), beneficiando da maior porção, seguindo-se a administração (serviços públicos gerais) com 29,2 porcento e o sector económico, com 14,7 porcento.

Criação de viveiros comunitários vai fomentar produção de café

Uíge - Cento e vinte e quatro viveiros comunitários de café foram criados em cinco municípios da província do Uíge, onde existem filiais da Estação Experimental, no quadro do programa nacional de fomento da produção do grão (café) a nível da região.

Trata-se dos municípios do Songo, Mucaba, Quitexe, Negage e Uíge que receberam também, da Estação Experimental, 250 quilogramas de sementes para os cinco viveiros comunitários.

De acordo com as declarações dadas hoje (sexta-feira) à Angop pelo director provincial do Instituto Nacional do Café de Angola (Inca) no Uíge, Zeferino Moma, cada município recebeu também 250 bolsas de polieteleno (saco preto para sementeira).

"Este programa está a ser acompanhado pelos nossos técnicos, desde o lançamento da semente até á evolução dos viveiros", frisou, salientando que actualmente está a ser feito o fomento de café Amboim, o mais preferido pelos produtores, para além de outras variedades como o Robusto e Ambriz.

Disse que dos seis mil produtores de café da província, controlados pelo sector agrícola, 302 pessoas, incluindo dois agentes económicos - que se dedicam à comercialização do café, já beneficiaram de micro-crédito para fomentar a produção.

Informou que o sector está também a materializar outro programa de âmbito nacional com o objectivo de fomentar a produção de cacau, prevendo-se a montagem de um mini processador de cacau para nos próximos tempos.

Como disse, a actividade do café vai melhorar significativamente a nível da região com a reabilitação das infra-estruturas da Estação Experimental em curso, que terá um laboratório com tecnologia de ponta para todo tipo de análises de partículas do ramo (solos, pragas, estado de sementes e outros).

Luanda – Feirantes e compradores da feira agro-pecuária de Luanda manifestaram hoje (sábado), no Largo da Independência, a necessidade de uma maior diversificação e aumento da oferta de produtos no espaço.

Os expositores e consumidores exprimiram à Angop o desejo de verem a empresa de conservação e abastecimento de produtos perecíveis “Frescangol” incluir nos bens que comercializa diversos tipos de carne nacional, verduras e batata rena e doce.

A vendedora de frutas Eugénia Miguel advogou a necessidade de se incentivar a presença, na feira, de um maior número de comerciantes de diferentes segmentos do sector agro-pecuário e de peixeiras para a diversificação de produtos.

Por sua vez, Catarina Garcia valorizou a iniciativa da feira pela facto dos expositores venderem mais produtos em relação aos mercados.

O tenente das Forças Armadas Angolanas (FAA) Fernando Francisco referiu que na feira agro-pecuária, que se realiza duas vezes por mês, desde 2007, são vendidos produtos naturais a preços acessíveis.

Para o empresário Pedro Manuel Fernandes, a feira serve de incentivo aos agricultores, vendedores ambulantes e dá oportunidade aos cidadãos para comprarem produtos agrícolas bem conservados.

A primeira edição da feira do corrente mês foi qualificada pela compradora Paulo Júnior de “fraca em termos de oferta de produtos do campo e do mar”, apelando à organização para uma maior divulgação.

A feira agro-pecuária de Luanda é uma iniciativa do governo da província, visando a promoção da produção nacional e aumentar as oportunidades de venda dos camponeses e pescadores.

Sector agro-pecuário supera declínio na produção desde 2002

Luanda – O declínio na produção agro-pecuária que se registava em Angola desde 1975, devido à instabilidade política, conheceu, a partir de 2002, uma viragem notável propiciada pelo clima de paz reinante no país, afirmou hoje (segunda-feira), em Luanda, o director-geral do Instituto de Desenvolvimento Agrário (IDA), Marcos Nhunga, a propósito dos ganhos obtidos pelo sector nos 33 anos de independência nacional.

Após a conquista da paz em Abril de 2002, o sector agro-pecuário angolano recuperou a posição de um dos principais ramos prioritários nas políticas do Governo no que concerne a recuperação e relançamento da produção nacional, para o alcance da segurança alimentar e o combate à fome e à pobreza, frisou aquele responsável.

"Em Angola, antes da independência nacional, o sector agrário era auto-suficiente, mas com a guerra que se verificou no país, de 1975 até 2002, vastos hectares de terra arável foram minados e grande parte das infra-estruturas agro-pecuárias foi destruída, levando o país de exportador de vários produtos agrícolas à condição de importador bens alimentares , disse o director do IDA, reconhecendo os esforços do governo na inversão da situação.

Segundo Marcos Nhunga, nestes 33 anos, o Governo angolano conseguiu reorganizar mais de cinco mil e 900 associações de camponeses, das quais duas mil e 900 foram criadas no quadro do Programa de Extensão e Desenvolvimento Rural (PEDR), bem como 740 cooperativas com 38 mil cooperadores.

A injecção no meio rural de mais de três milhões de enxadas europeias, mais de dois milhões e 500 mil enxadas tradicionais, mais de um milhão e 500 catanas, mais de dois mil moinhos, mais de 500 moto-bombas, mais de 200 cisternas de rega e centenas de tractores e charruas são outros dos ganhos que as políticas do Governo já proporcionaram até hoje.

Ciente da importância do sector, o Conselho dos Ministros aprovou, durante os anos em referência, diversos programas destinados ao fomento da agricultura, de distribuição de instrução de extensão e desenvolvimento, combate à pobreza, de reconstrução e construção de infra-estruturas de apoio a agricultura irrigada, disse.

Entre os resultados observados na materialização dos programas do executivo para o sector agro-pecuário do país destacam-se a assistência com imputs (fertilizantes e sementes) e meios de trabalho a mais de um milhão e 13 mil famílias camponesas em todo país, contra as 200 mil atendidas nos anos de vigência do conflito armado.

Os programas gizados pelo executivo angolano permitiram igualmente que nos 33 anos de independência nacional, houvesse, em termos de preparação, terras mecanizadas, 30 a 40 mil hectares/ano, só no sector camponês. Já a nível da lavoura por tracção animal e manual o sector está a atingir, respectivamente, 500 mil e dois milhões e 800 mil hectares/ano.

Como consequências das políticas públicas, o país já atinge excedentes de produção em culturas como mandioca e feijão, tendo a safra destas culturas rondado, na campanha agrícola 2006/2007, a cifra de quatro milhões de toneladas (mandioca) e de 120 mil toneladas (feijão).

Em virtude da solidificação da paz, analistas referem que ao sector agrário do país, que já se situa entre os mais dinâmicos do sector não petrolífero, com uma taxa de crescimento anual de 27,4 porcento (a seguir a indústria transformadora, com 32.6%) tem como desafios a construção de 50 mil casas sociais no campo, a eliminação da pobreza extrema, a o alcance da auto-suficiência em três tipos de grãos (milho, massango e massambala).

Outras das metas que se impõe à Agricultura, na óptica de analistas, prendem-se com o aumento da exploração dos actuais quatro milhões de hectares do cultivo de terras aráveis (dos 35 milhões de hectares que o país possui), a fim de se produzir mais de 15 milhões de grãos.

Fonte do Ministério da Agricultura assegurou que o uso, cada vez mais, de novos métodos e tecnologias, o reforço do incentivo ao empresariado privado, assim como a extensão das parcerias público-privada, à semelhança da concessão de gestão dos perímetros irrigados de Caxito, província do Bengo, das Gandjelas (Huíla), do Luena (Moxico) e do Waku Kungo (Kwanza Sul), reabilitados pelo Governo angolano, a outros segmentos do sector agro-pecuário, são outras das acções a serem implementadas a curto prazo.

Chibia pode ser dos maiores produtores de bens agrícolas

Lubango – O governador da Huíla, Isaac Francisco Maria dos Anjos, disse hoje (segunda-feira), no município da Chibia, que o seu executivo pretende tornar a localidade numa das maiores produtoras de bens agrícolas da província da Huíla.

Num encontro com membros da administração municipal da Chibia e população da circunscrição, na sua primeira visita oficial a um município como governador da província da Huíla, Isaac do Anjos afirmou que o seu governo vai trabalhar para a região ser forte no sector agrícola, aproveitamento o perímetro irrigado das Ganjelas Referiu que com a reabilitação das Ganjelas e seus canais e com a instalação de um sistema regadio por aspersão, a circunscrição dispõem de todas condições para destacar-se na produção de alimentos e contribuir no combate à fome e à pobreza que ainda assola as populações locais.

Com uma área bruta de dois mil e 271 hectares, o seu perímetro irrigado vai produzir anualmente 48 mil e 150 toneladas de produtos do campo diversos, desde os cereais, frutícolas e hortícolas.

A Chibia está situada a 41 quilómetros a sul do Lubango e possui uma população estimada em 131 mil e 540 habitantes que se dedica sobretudo a agricultura e a criação de gado.

Novecentos mil hectares de terra em preparação para campanha agrícola 2008/2009

Kuito – Novecentos mil hectares de terra serão cultivados na presente campanha agrícola, 2008/2009, pelos camponeses da província do Bié, visando aumentar os índices de produção, criar condições para auto-suficiência alimentar e combater a fome e a miséria nas comunidades.

O director provincial da agricultura, Felismino Fernandes Rodrigues, disse que o trabalho será assegurado por 314 mil famílias camponesas de todos municípios da província.

Referiu que parte dos hectares será cultivada pela mecanização agrícola e à tracção animal, e o restante será manualmente. Para o efeito, disse aquele responsável, o sector da agricultura já procedeu à distribuição de inputs agrícolas como sementes, fertilizantes, bem como alguns instrumentos de trabalho (enxadas, catanas, limas e outros meios de produção), para o bom andamento das actividades agrícolas na região.

Entretanto, a governadora do Bié, Cândida Celeste da Silva, exortou os camponeses da província a engajar-se na produção agrícola, de forma a se combater a fome e a miséria, através do aumento da colheita de produtos cultivados.

“A agricultura é a base de desenvolvimento de um país, dai a necessidade de todos arregaçarem as mangas de forma a se aumenta cada vez mais os níveis de produção agrícola para reduzir as importações”, frisou.

Pontualizou que, o governo provincial está a trabalhar no sentido de se obter bons resultados na presente campanha agrícola, visando criar a segurança alimentar ao nível da região.

Cândida Celeste da Silva disse ainda que o governo angolano está apostado igualmente no combate à fome, pobreza e miséria no seio das populações através do incentivo aos agricultores para o aumento da produção agrícola.

A província do Bié fica localizada no planalto central de Angola, tem uma extensão de 70.314 quilómetros quadrados e uma população estimada em 2 milhões de habitantes, na sua maioria camponesa, dedicando-se à agricultura de sequeira, pesca continental, caça, apicultura e outras actividades agrícolas. Os produtos mais cultivas são o milho, feijão, mandioca, batata-rena e doce.
