So we'll have the US Embassy Tower of London to mirror the Norman one! Wonder if it will have a fancy roof top restaurant? Perhaps it may have a moat too.

And who was infact French and only became legal monarch after conquering England.Indeed before the conquest The English called him William the Bastard hardly a nice name to call your king dont you think?
Also lets look at the result of The Conquest :

With Harold dead they didnt have much choice and since English continued to revolt we can safely say that general population wasnt too happy about William being their king.

As a means of protecting his colonial interests because there was such widespread rebellion. No castles were built in areas where the monarchy's rule was felt to be legitimate - they stopped building them in across the vast majority of English in the 12th century, instead focusing on the next colonial adventure in Wales.

yeah and? there were already prior fortifications on the site!!!!!!! the building wasn't even finished until the 12th century.

fact of the matter is william WAS the legal king of england. the americans are not.
