You have the Yes on 8 symptom... You are so confused and un-informed.

There's civil marriage and then there's religious marriage.

- Civil marriage is what same-sex couples are fighting for. You can only get all the rights and benefits given by the state only if you're legally married. This marriage has absolutely nothing to do with religion.

- Religious marriage is what you have when you get married by your religion. That marriage is not worth ANYTHING whatsoever under the law unless you go validate your religious marriage to the county were you got married and they check if your religion and the church and pastor that married you are recognized by the state. If they are recognized by the state, then they will validate your marriage and you will also be legally married. If your religion/pastor/church is/are not recognized by the state, your marriage is worth nothing.

Remember, separation of church and state!

See how they say "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas"? Well, what happens in church stays in church.

Excellent point! There are 120,000 same-sex households in California and there are over 1.2 million kids living under those households.

Do you have any idea how difficult it's going to be for those kids to get financial aid for college? Very hard. You know why? Because they're parents are not legally married.

Sure, I don't agree with divorce and having kids outside of wedlock, however, I am not the one pointing my finger at those people telling them that because I think it's wrong, we're going to take a basic right away from them.

And of course all you have to say is "Yes on 8." I mean, what else can you say? You cannot and will not give me one legitimate argument as of why marriage and all the rights that come with marriage should be denied to same-sex couples.

No one is asking you to be ok with it, but there is a great difference between you not being ok with it and actually going out and enforce your views and morals on other people.

I do not think it's ok that you think it's wrong, but you don't see me going around asking people to put a constitutional amendment so you and people like you cannot express your ideas anymore.

Whether Prop 8 passes or not, you're life and rights will remain the same, but for other people, life will change drastically in either a very positive or a very negative way.

These Yes on 8 advertisements are everywhere. And that's scaring the hell out of me.

I just hope that a lot of people can find it in their hearts to vote no on this proposition, as I will be voting no as well.

I personally believe marriage is sacred, and was created to be between Man and Woman. But, I also feel my personal beliefs shouldn't decide what other people can, and cannot do. That's why I'm still partially undecided.

It's as easy as this:

Whether you think marriage is strictly between a man and a woman or not, if you can see the discrimination on Prop 8, vote no.

That's the reason many religious leaders (specially from minorities who have been discriminated in the past) have given as their reason for voting NO on 8 even though it's against their personal beliefs.

Because when you take away the rights of a group of people because of their skin color, ethnicity, gender, race, and in this case, sexual orientation, that's discrimination.

The "Yes on 8" organization has played a really dirty campaign.

- They've lied about Prop 8 having to do with kids, schools, and religion. Now they're saying Prop 8 is about "parental rights"...

- They mailed 10,000+ people who donated money to the NO on 8 campaign telling them that if they did not donate money to their campaign, they would black-list them as being against traditional marriage.

- They're under investigation right now by the FBI because of the cyber-attacks that the "NO on 8" (CA), "NO on 2" (FL), and other websites suffered days ago. www.noonprop8.com was down for many hours because of the cyber-attack and for 10 hours they were unable to get ANY donations.

- Now they're going around sending people e-mails telling them that Obama/Biden support the ban on same-sex marriage here in CA when we all know that is not true and when in fact, both of them opposed a similar attempt that was going to ban same-sex marriage nationwide.

But honestly... to the guys that says homosexuality is a choice :
Why would I choose to be a social outcast, even something I could get killed for?
It sucks enough to have to be in a "safe zone" to be able to hold hands, or even make any contact that's more than 10 seconds, to not get people walking down the streets mocking and discriminating.
It's not something we choose.. it's something we are.
[Guess you wouldn't understand it if you're not a homosexual yourself since a lot of 'straight' people seem to think it's a choice]

It's marriage twice. It doesn't make any sense. All couples who want to be together should have the same rights recognized by the state. Just don't call it marriage if you can still get married after. Otherwise, can you really say that you're married in the first place if you are still going to get married?

If "NO ON 8" passes I guarantee that in a very near future a Bi~Sexual is going to want to get Married to both a Man and a Woman because of love. Then He/She will cry out discrimination and it will bring us back to this...

So for the sake of Man Kind Vote Yes on 8*

Being bisexual doesn't mean you're going to have multiple partners....
Yes they may be attracted to both sex but they'll choose to be with either/or...

But if you're worried about that, don't you think guys would want to have multiple wives now?

^ Multiple partners will be the next big issue and you know it. There's always that someone who will fight this in court just to prove a point. In reality we need to fix society and better ourselves and not destroy the traditional home. Luckily I came from a traditional home and not from a home where both parents are the same sex, can you imagine the torture that child who will be in the situation would have to go through his entire teenage life. Especially him/her being normal, I mean straight!!!!

I know few friends from school that had same sex parents. One of them came out of the closet after having her...
She seems proud of it and it didn't seem to effect the positive-attitude that she has..

The only torture they they receive is from Yes on 8 people.

Homosexuality is a disorder and unnatural, and I don't accept what they are doing.! I do have tolerance but that does not mean i have to accept men getting married with men and women with women. So therefore yes on Prop 8
