hkskyline's 2008 ADELAIDE #2 - A Walk in the City

29. Continuing with my Adelaide series, it was a beautiful day so I started my walk from Light Square.

32. Although looking serene, I didn't think this was a good part of town though.

33. In a few blocks, the skyscrapers of city centre were very much visible and within reach.

40. It seemed very quiet on this Saturday morning.

44. I walked into the main railway station, which was fairly tidy, although I was a bit surprised there's also a casino on the premises now.

45. Heading out the back doors, I looked around for the river.

48. There it is!

50. It looks like a more angular version of the Sydney Opera House.

57. It's nice to have a huge park so close to downtown.

60. This building I quite liked from its multicolour facade.

62. The flight path was also nearby. Imagine sitting on the left side looking at an aerial of the city!

63. Upon closer inspection, it was a flight from home ... a Cathay Pacific airplane!

On a Saturday morning in that part of the city, it doesnt really get much busier than that.

Nice photos

I actually work in this building, and had to work yesterday (Sat - on my birthday), and had to walk quite a few blocks to get a coffee, as most dont open in that part on a sat

Happy belated Birthday!

Adelaide for some reason reminds me of Hamilton, ON...
