It would have been even much better if the cladding was silver/gray instead of white/gray. It stands a bit isolated also.

It reminds me a bit to the gray/red cladding used for The Red Apple.

What do you think about this building, it is 90 meters and it's called 'Scheepmakerstoren'. I think if it was 50 meters higher it would have been the best in R'dam

Obviously Liverpool is not in the same boat as those but I agree. Its skyline is actually very nice.

In what way? Rotterdam has got density thatīs it. The individual buildings are plain and boring. Not to mention that there are no really tall towers in Rotterdam.

What's tall for european standards? Higher than 200 meters?
Than F'furt has got for european standards a couple "really" tall towers.
Madrid has got 4 "really" tall towers.
London has got 1 "really" tall tower.
Warsaw has 1 higher as 200m without counting the Palace of Culture and Science.
Paris has none. It has 1 u/c, but in the poll it is the second best skyline. So for a good EU skyline it doesn't need really tall towers.
After London, F'furt and Paris, Rotterdam has the most buildings taller than 100m. List of Buildings taller than 80m:

I good skyline isnt about actualy height, its about percieved height! Its also not about density either, its about massing and quality.

Guys, why go into philosophical and technical discussion about what is a "good " skyline? I think most of all it's simply about how good it looks. That's why Frankfurt and La Defense are "the best"... because most people think they look the best. I don't even know heights of most of La Defense towers... and I don't care. It looks like a great skyline which is why I would put it 2nd to Frankfurt (which looks the best).

Why Singapore has got one of the best skylines in the world despite being comparable in size with London's Canary Wharf? Simply because it's got a good composition of towers and LOOKS GOOD. Simple as that.

Doesn't that make sense?

^Exactly. There was no need to post that list sash, I already said Rotterdam has got density. However, Canary Wharf alone looks more impressive than Rotterdam due to the greater heights of the towers.

Sure Canary Wharf looks more impressive than R'dam due to the greater heights of the towers. Did I say it doesn't?
If you read my previous replies you would have seen that I wrote that Paris, F'furt and London (Canary Wharf) have a better skyline. I'm not arguing about that.
My opinion is that the Netherlands could be proud of R'dam and it's Skyline and that it is worth mentioning it as a good looking skyline in the EU.

Why do you guys keep talking about Rotterdam highrises? Those in Den Haag / The Hague are way more iconic / unique / interesting. I wouldn't even say that's my opinion, but common sense.

In Finland they've only got some cottages made out of unpainted wood with small holes where insects live; in these greyish dwellings you've some autistic / drunk people living who are not able to communincate.
