I heard it coming. And I didn't want to be the first to mention it. It can only concur the photoshopped pseudo-HDRs of London.
Dynamic HDR and other tools have to be used with care. Otherwise you have such "noisense" pics like this one!

The angle and the light didn't do it any favour but a brand new glassy building like Broadgate Tower is far from being fugly.

I like the 'shopped Frankfurt one. Looks almost post-apocalyptic and very menacing. Cool picture

I also love the ones with the towers poking out the clouds, like the Madrid, London and Paris ones from earlier.

Hi All, my first message...good to be part of the community...I have been reading it for years now, but since my job is eating all my time....
To get to the point...First I must say that I am French...with German origins...To me, if we consider the current Skylines, my opinion is :
1- Still Frankfurt...no doubt, that Frankfurt has been having the most impressive E.U. skyline for about 25 years now. Given the projects currently in the Box, I am not so sure that it will still be the number one in 2016-2018.
2- N° 2 Paris-La Défense...very dense, with 7-8 very interesting and beautiful towers that are between 150 and 220m (including First Tower who will top 230 in less than two month from now)...but, to me, there is still something that is too French and bothers me, and that is the uniformity, since all the highest towers are in the same range of heights, and that is 150-180...but, there is hope with the approved and planned towers for the coming 6 years...if these will be built, I think Paris could reach the n° 1 Best Skyline in the E.U....wait and see.
3- N° 3, definitely London...actually, what makes London only n°3 can be seen and understand thanks to ''Newcastle Guy'' last post by lookint at his n°5 pictures ''Canary Wharf". London has actually 2 CBD when Paris and Frankfurt have only one. And the fact that these two CBD are separated, make the all skyline look a bit whidespread...For the ten coming years I am confident that London is going to surprise us...right now they are suffering from the Financial turmoil, but this city and the Brits are full of energy, creative, and once they will go over it, damn I am sure London is going to rise..above the cloods with some stuning skyscrapers...After all, London (as Paris is) is among the 4 World cities...and will have in the coming 15 years a skyline in accordance with is status...but, this is only the opinion of a French Froggie!
4- I have been following Rotterdam architectural rebirth for years now, and I have to say that what the achieved lately, the towers built lately make this Skyline very impressive for a western european one. I love it, and hope to go there next year to see it with my eyes...and they are still building new ones, and have a couple of nice projects in the box...
5- Warsaw in 5....a young skyline, very interesting as well, but made of just 5-6 towers..;even if these 5 are tall and modern, the skyline is not very dense so far compare to Paris and London...Frankfurt is a bit different since they have 4 very tall (for the E.U.) ones (more than 220).
In addition, I would like to say that Madrid has made a big jump lately, with world class 4 new towers...but, they are still looking a little bit lonely in the Madrid's skyline...but, they have now the fondations...not sure about there ability to densify it in the coming 5-6 years given the Spanish Economic situation...
To me, I would include Moscow in Europe...historicaly, geographicaly Moscow belongs to Europe...and know that we have an open debate here...But, if we include Moscow, we all have to admit that Moscow slyline is ranked n°1.
One last word, I think that Naples CDB is very close to the ''First league'' of the European best Skyline...I don't know if they are project with 2-3 new towers between 180-220...because that is what is missing to bring Naples on the Fifth position..Naples is a completely surprise to me. Does someone else share my opinion on Naples and/or is willing to say more good things about this dense and modern CBD (European standards of course...)

True! In the last pictures posted by Ecological, the building looks less ugly.
