1. Paris
2. Frankfurt
Those 2 cities are in a league of their own in Europe.

Great pictures of Madrid, some even artistic! But it surely doesn't qualify here along with Paris, Warsaw, Frankfurt or London... At least this is my opinion.

Ik zou er zo willen wonen

now Milan has not a so impressive skyline (even if it was one of the first cities in Europe to built skyscrapers in '50s... unfortunately after '60s very few was built) compared to other cities in Europe

But within five years it will be a good competitor

Anyway: an airview of the current main 'cluster'

And as it will be within 2012

I've never seen it before
It's called 'Stadstuinen'. It is a part of 'Kop van Zuid' in(deelgemeente) 'Feijenoord'.

The most part is u/c or on the way to start
You can even see it in the pano pic I posted previously (towers u/c, cranes, digs for basements)

Anyway this is not the only new cluster to be built in next years, and not the one with the tallest towers

But it's a bit OT

@Marco_ - Is inderaad een plek waar ik zo zou willen wonen. Ziet er uit als een goeie en nette woning midden in de stad, hoe perfect wil je heb hebben!

@GENIUS_LOCI - Very nice, I never knew that Milan will get such a good looking skyline.

Milano's future looks bright

Warsaw unfortunately has its main project on hold, but still looks not bad

I like the skyline of Warsaw, because there's a central point, formed by PKiN, whats a massive classical and vertical structure! Maybe not a good memorial to the Soviet time, but now a great landmark for the city.

I visited it in last autumn and new year.

If we are explicitly talking about skyline views then Paris of Frankfurt - these two are in a league of their own. And really it's got to be Paris as the winner - it's less contemporary skyline sets off the modern La Defense from a distance.

However I have high hopes for London in the future. Canary Wharf, like La Defense, is a vacuum of street life, energy and buzz. London Bridge amongst the other small planned clusters already thrive so projects like LBT should be a beacon of streetlife - not a clinical monument in the air.
