Nice pics of my capital, I'm proud of it. It's bad that due to crisis many scrapers are on hold or stopped Złota44 or Hines surely would increase density of city center. But if we are to believe official informations, these 2 buildings should be ready by 2012; personally I hope that at least Złota will be ready...

I'd like to ask for a moment of silence for Złota 44...

She was going to be such a nice, tall sail...

and now...

stopped since march...

In my humble opinion , warszawa needs rather a complete renovation and basic cleaning (infrastructure and buildings in general) before they spend millions for one or two basic and half-spectacular towers.

Carperskys always likes to provoke with such stupid and incompetent comments. Actually, this tower would be a great addition to Warsaw and let's hope to see it rise in future. Maybe even next year. Anyone knows that such skyscrapers are built by private capital and that taxes paid for construction etc. help the city to renew infrastructure. Also the facades of private houses are not the city admins' business. But explain such things to someone who keeps trolling this thread bashing all European cities with such intelligent comparisons to American cities!

i hope you know the difference between mobbing/personal offence (you) and to pass impersonal remarks or opinions (me).

other than that, i've never said anything that real estate developers are responsible for renovations , it was not even roughly my point or the substance of my statement.

my statement was apparently in general, so please dont put your inadequacy to understand simple facts in my mouth.

ergo, no reason to blow your trumpet skyline_ffm

To bad the Zlota tower isn't u/c anymore. We also have a 70m highrise here in Rotterdam, stopped construction about almost 2 years ago.
Looks like they finally started constructing again, but I'm not sure actually. And there's also another tower, where construction stopped 2 or 3 years ago

Almost 2 years looking at this;

Zlota is stopped, delayed, but not cancelled and abandoned. Not yet. There's a chance and a hope;] We may use paypal to support Orco;]

Madrid the four towers are so huge in perspective with anything else. Even our beloved picaso tower with 156m looks pathetic, in comparison. Not sure if they added something positive to the skyline. Luckly operacion chamartin will start the construction of 14 new higrises of 150m to 300+m. Infracstructure process is just beginning for the operation, so it will be at least 2-3 years before we start to see our new financial area 2 take shape. We hope ill be finish by 2016 ready for the olympics if we win.
