Frankfurt no doubt, it's also one of my favorite cities in Europe I've visited. I've also visited London and Barcelona.

On another note is a good thing they are improving this by building higher towers now.

But please, it is ridiculous to believe that in real life you would get more imprest by 8 100m towers, than by 4 200m towers. Sorry no way my jaw drops for 100meter towers. Actually, now when i see new projects that are 100m is like meh, not imprest, hope for a really modern, excellent design to make up for its lack of heigth. Anyone that has seen 250m buildings don't see towers of a 100m ever the same. Rotterdam does not have a better skyline than warsa or madrid, maybe in picture but not live. Still Rotterdam has a very fotogenic skyline because of the lack of midrises that would put their towers into a better prespective. An this is really noticiable because towers in Rotterdam never seem to be overtowering other midrises. Thats when you can tell skylines are most impressive because they rise above other buildings.

Here is a shot of madrids CTBA overtowering 75m+ residentials.

Lack of mid rises? Over towering? Mate cut the crap. This picture is more than 2 years old. R’dam skyline has changed in these 2 years and will change each year from now. Rotterdam will get their +200 meter buildings (about 3 or 4) for sure. With these buildings and the ones it already has got it and the ones that are under construction or proposed (some 150-170m) it will be one of the best in the EU.

Present and future of Rotterdam, credits to EuroMaster:

Future skyline (in 5-8 years from now):

As you can see the foundation for a fantastic skyline has been laid by the density of all these 90-140 m midrise buildings. In the coming years the real highrise will be build, for example the three planned 200+ skyscrapers at the Central District (possibly as high as 250 m), further more about 7 skyscrapers of 150 to 200 m high, some of them already under construction (like the Maastoren, New Orleans and "the Rotterdam" later this year). Also mention the planned 85.000+ football stadium at the banks of the Maas river, which will be an impressive eyecatcher.

So in my opinion Rotterdam already has a nice skyline (let's say top 5), but it will definately become one of the best skylines of Europe in about 5-10 years from now (top 3 for sure, like Frankfurt, Paris and London)

I think you can even in some way compare it to the present Miami skyline in 2015 or so, if you mention all the cruise ships, mediterranean style residential buildings (like the New Orleans (U/C) and Havana building) and a large port etc.

Wow, great view of Heron Tower in that pic!
(For those who don't know, Heron Tower is the white steel building (unclad, I assure you ) you can see Under Construcion behind the Gherkin. It will be the tallest building in the UK when topped out.

@A340-500 - Thanks for posting them (again ). Can't wait to see the official renders of the 200m/250m+ towers in the Central District!

Lack of midrises in the waterfront is what i meant, which are the pics that most people post and show. What part of over towering you don't get? your picture just proved my point it shows how really short the towers are against 5 story buildings, dont get mad at me because i tell the facts. And no Rotterdam wont be one of the best in 3 or 4 years, you really think other cities are going to wait for rotterdam to play catch up? You tell me to cut the crap, you pouring it out your ears.

From what and how you are writing it looks like if you know R’dam and it’s skyline better than me, so we better end this discussion. You like Madrid’s skyline, I don’t (although I find Madrid itself a beautiful city from what I’ve seen so far).! I like the R’dam skyline, you don’t.
Cheers

I like Paris and London becaus of some eyecatchers, but there are not enough skyscrapers. Rotterdam were small but esteticly. The four of Madrid also look nice. Warsaw i don't like, there are a few but not high and for me ugly, it's only cube's with no design.

Frankfurt for me is the best, because of location in centre, there are high, and nearly everyone has a special design, and there are a lot of not only 4 or 7....

shot at Autobahn-Rasthof Taunusblick!

WTT 209m

Rondo 1 159m

IC 164m and WFC on the right 146m

Thats just few, Im not saying you cant find them ugly, but saying these are cubes with no design, nor height is really ignorant thing to say.

reat picture. The skyline however can run for the "ugliest" contest. The buildings are ugly, have poor design and spoil the entire landscape!
